Good morning, friends and welcome to the breakfast quiet time with mom. It is approximately 6 minutes to 10 in the morning. Mom has completed breakfast already and today is Sunday the 24th of August 2025. Let me give you the title for today. The title for today is Scattered and Gathered. Today is complex friends and at the moment I am still not quite sure how this is going to roll out to you. I want us to open up in prayer because so much of the introduction to this is in the note already and I need guidance on how to proceed from here. Let us close our eyes in prayers.

Prayer

Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, and Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, Father please, as we forgive those that trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. And Father, I pray more specifically today, and more intensely than before, that You will place a guard at my mouth. That You will anoint my lips and my tongue so that I can bring the Word as it is purposed for this day. Lord, I pray that You will reveal to each according to Your will, Your pleasure, Your purpose to each of us as it pertains to us. Revealed to us in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Father, I pray for a hedge of protection roundabout. I pray for the blood of Christ to cover us from above, to envelop us. Father, even as the Passover blood at the posts of the house. Lord, You revealed so much to me and I'm so grateful for that and so often I am frustrated by time for it is in my heart that these that You have sent me to Father that they may receive and have the certainty that You have installed in me. Father, I'm just a man. So much of today is so vital to understand. And yet, in Your merciful kindness, You've made it possible for us to be saved by mere faith. Just believing, just stepping into obedience. After the act of repentance, You renew us from within. You bring us on a path we didn't even intend to walk. So, Thy will be done. Give as it pleases You to give, according to your measure, Father. This, we pray, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Amen.

(We are to receive the Word of GOD by the Spirit, so I strongly urge you to pray before you receive the Devotional. Let Christ take the lead in your Spiritual Development.)

As you can tell, I'm a little bit overwhelmed. I do not know how to share everything with you, friends. This morning was interesting and I would be stealing from you if I do not introduce this correctly. So, we're going to go to the note first and somewhere in the note, we'll jump over to the text and I'm trusting that the Lord will show me where. The title for today is Scattered and Gathered.

As I sat down this morning, I was led to the verse of the day expecting, and I'm not going to give it to you just, quite, yet. For those of you that have read it already, you have a blessing due to your obedience. I was led to the verse of the day expecting to write on that as it has been the case for a couple of days. So, I read but did not get the confirmation to write on that. I was backed out, without as much as a mark on the verse of the day.

Then I was led to this chapter in Isaiah, next in the reading of the Bible plan, “As it happened.” So, I need you to understand, this was just the next chapter for me to read. I was hesitant with this direction, because it is not common for me to go and read from that Bible reading plan for the morning devotional, unless the Lord leads to me, after the scripture that is already given. So I was hesitant. So, I waited for confirmation which came and I marked up the chapter first just to highlight it. Really, friends, I was just going to copy it if I had to insert it in the writing, but then, I was guided to write the note on this today. Now, I just want to make it clear, at this point, I could see a relation to the verse of the day. But I still did not have the message. So, I waited on the Lord. I was then guided from there on. And at this point I'm going to read to you Isaiah 49:1-26.

2. Scripture Text

The scripture format is slightly different today, because in recording, I often explain in between or give reminders to the audience. My words can be seen in (parentheses) even when I re-read a section.

Isaiah 49:1-26 (KJV)

  1. Listen, O Isles (this is the Isles of the sea. The nations.) unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

  2. And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

  3. And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

  4. Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.

  5. And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength.

  6. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

  7. Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

  8. Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

  9. That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

  10. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

  11. And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

  12. Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

  13. Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. (Now pay attention to verse 14.)

  14. But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

  15. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. (And I want to bring attention to that again. “Can a woman forget her sucking child that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”)

  16. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

  17. Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.

  18. Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.

  19. For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.

  20. The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.

  21. Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been? (I want to read that again. “Then shalt thou say in thine heart, who hath begotten me these? Seeing I have lost my children, and I am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro, and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone. These, where had they been?”)

  22. Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, (Please note this, friends.) and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.

  23. And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me. (I want to read that again. “For they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.”)

  24. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

  25. But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

  26. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. (Remember this. “And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh, and they shall be drunken with their own blood, and with sweet wine. And all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy savior and thy redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.” Remember Jacob.)

Now, I must make it clear at this point. I could see a relation to the verse of the day, but I still did not have the message. So I waited on the Lord. I was then guided to these verses: Jeremiah 31:10-11.

Jeremiah 31:10-11 (KJV)

10. Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. (Do you see that?) 11. For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

There is an interjection that I must put here friends that you should know. In truth I received more but this was brought to highlight. So for the prudent, a reading of all of Jeremiah 31 will be to the advantage of understanding. Carrying on. Then the Lord gave me the title Scattered and Gathered and the direction was punched in.

3. Devotional Reflection

Every now and then we read something in the word and it challenges the student of the word.

Case in point, Matthew 15:24, "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." And what about this one? John 7:34-35, "Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. Then said the Jews among themselves, (listen very carefully to what the Jews say here.) Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?" No, there's something there.

The Jews knew something, friends, to be able to ask that question. At least they had to know Isaiah 49 and Jeremiah 31. Now, many look at the dispersed of the Jews as we ourselves have seen by how far into Gentile territories the apostles found synagogues. But once more, man suffers from a parallax error. Counter to common knowledge, the Jews do not resemble all of the children of Jacob, merely one tribe, friends, which is Judah.

To validate this with scripture, we'll take an exhaustive amount of reference and we'll take us right through the records of kings and chronicles of the kings prophetic texts. We will have to learn again about the division of the house of Jacob after the sin of King Solomon. See the exile in 2 Kings 17. All of this to make sense of Jeremiah 31 and Isaiah 49. Not even to speak of those that call themselves Jews but are not. We would have to read from the sons of Solomon to Revelation to see God's plan which Christ declared and the prophets prophesied. Yes, even of Ezekiel 37's valley of dry bones. And as Ezekiel is instructed to prophesy over these dry bones, we would have to understand Revelation 19:10 in particular, how the testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy. Even of dry bones becoming alive again. Yes! Even to understand that it is true about the Old Testament prophecy too, that the testimony of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, is the Spirit of prophecy.

Here in Isaiah 49 and Jeremiah 31, we see the evidence of the scattered people, both of the house of Judah and the house of Israel, which make up the house of Jacob: all 12 tribes, just as in the case of Ezekiel 37. All of this, to understand an ancient text of the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15. The world looks at one tribe of the children of Jacob and calls them from that, which is a parallax error. The Jews are just one tribe, also known in the Hebrew tongue as - Yehudim (יְהוּדִים) - (Plural form, meaning "Judeans" or "Jews.) And, admittedly, I must also include some of Levi as we learn that John the Baptist's mother Elizabeth, Mary's cousin, are from the daughters of Aaron. And shall we speak of the fact that John the Baptist's father was a priest? Who alone was permitted to become priests? Is it not out of the line of Aaron?

And did those that followed the God of Jacob join themselves to the house of Judah? (Jews.) Now, we're talking about the separation that took place with Rehoboam and Jeroboam. Friends, and I'm interjecting here, where those in the Northern Territories that saw these golden calves being raised in Dan and in Bethel, (essentially) they said, "We don't want anything to do with this. We're going to join ourselves to the house of Judah. We're going to go down. We're going to join them. We are giving up our inheritances in Mount Ephraim into the territories of Samaria.” (Please note this is said in a form of roleplay.) Yes! All of those territories, even those from Benjamin, Reuben, Gad that was on the other side, not Benjamin, sorry, half of Manasseh, that was on the other side of the Sea of Galilee, on the other side of the Jordan, even of these that was joined to the northern tribes of what then became Israel. And that is where the confusion comes in because the greater part was kept as Israel, the house of Israel. And the house of Judah was separated unto God for the promise that God made to King David that he will always have a descendant on the throne. The Levites pulled back. They went to Judah because they remained, not all of them. But they remained loyal to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Many of those in those tribes said, "We disinherit our tribes. We disinherit our land and we are going to join us to Judah which is remaining with the Lord at the house of the Lord there on the threshing floor where the temple of God was established that His name was in it." That division is of these that joined themselves to the house of Judah or as we know them today, Jews. And soon the words of Christ to the Canaanite woman gets more relevant.

Matthew 15:26: "But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs."

Now, would you believe me if I tell you that this is just the introduction to the scripture “highlight” today, friends, because Isaiah 49 is about Jesus and God's plan to save the remnant of the house of Jacob. Jacob, all 12 tribes.

Indeed, we should quote Hosea 4:6 here again, for you will see it there, too. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Who then is it that scattered the children of Jacob? How does the following read? Now listen to it. Jeremiah 31:10-11 again. "Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than him." You've got to see the cross, friends. The children of Jacob have departed from God's ways, friends, forgotten and scattered upon the hills and the mountains, or as it's known in prophetic speech, the nations and the people of the world. And in Jesus Christ, is the flock brought back together, for His sheep know his voice.

With Jeremiah, I weep. With Hosea, I declare the children, the seed of the woman, are suffering from a multi-generational amnesia. But his sheep know his voice and submit, once more, to the authority of their Father in heaven. As lost sons returning home in repentance, by the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, or as it is in the parable of the lost son, the Fattened Calf (Sacrifice for the lost.)

Now friends, this is a mystery for it does not follow mere genealogy, though somewhat, not complete; just as we find Cain and Abel and Jacob and Esau. So do we still find siblings till this day. And, you know, for you that come to listen to the audio note here I want to give you more than what is just written in the note. I want to give you more. (And today, I have included for those who read too) Because, Cain and Abel were not the same. One accepted, the other not. And Jacob and Esau were not the same. Even though they were in the same womb, twins. God loved Jacob and hated Esau. Esau being so hairy that Jacob had to put the skin of a goat on his neck and on his upper hands on his forearms so that Isaac would think it's Esau. How much hair is that, friends? They were not the same. So do we still find siblings till this day, diverse? Diverse, in one household, not of the same spiritual seed. That is still true today. And with the bit of biology that I had, if you understand genealogy, you can understand how you can get two very different children from a pairing where the mother and the father are not the same - Mingling, but even more so, in the spiritual DNA.

The house of Jacob, all 12 tribes, woven into the tapestry of nations like tares (To clarify, the nations are the tares.) The seed of the serpent was sewn in amongst the wheat, even in the womb where Jacob and Esau found themselves. The seed of the serpent was sown amongst the wheat, the seed of man. The field, as the hearts of man; and the good seed - the word of God; the bad seed - the lies, deception, and rebellion against the throne of God. Now, I'm not able to distinguish between the tares and the wheat. I cannot. The goats and the sheep, I don't know and maybe that is why Christ said that the angels of God will bring in the harvest. First the tares will be removed and cast into the fire, but the remaining will be separated and chaff from wheat. All I have is what Christ gave that we will know them by their fruit.

But I have noticed how some sheep think that they are goats, and were deceived. As I said before, a goat cannot be a sheep. Neither can a sheep be a goat. But you can make a sheep think he is a goat by keeping him with goats. And I want to give you, to the diligent: I'm going to give you 2 Kings 17. Mark it. Go read it. Go and see what happens there, what happens to those northern tribes, the house of Israel. In fact, if you read 2 Kings 18, you'll see how God protects Judah against Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, even smiting 185,000 of his army in one night. But the same did not happen for the house of Israel. Those northern tribes were taken away, supplanted into other territories, and others were brought in and established there in the territories of northern Israel. And believe it or not, today is not about all this history. Not alone, in any way. Neither does Isaiah stand in isolation, but is followed up by the New Testament. And of Jeremiah, he makes clear by the word of God that the scattering was of the Lord for the disobedience of the house of Jacob, with Jeremiah more specifically involved in Judah, as he was a counselor to King Zedekiah.

No, today is more about the verse of the day, friends. The scattering of the house of Jacob can further be understood by Paul's description of the wild and the cultivated olive tree being grafted together in Romans 11:16-24. One wild, one cultivated, but both olive trees. Typically the church is referred to as and compared to the vine and Judah as the fig tree. Also Jeremiah's dream of the two baskets of figs fruit in Jeremiah 24. But the olive tree has always resembled the house of Jacob, all 12 tribes. Now all this will help to understand Isaiah 49 better. And quickly we can see the prophesied Messiah in the text. Modern scholars will have you believe something quite different.

The serpent seed is a seed of rebellion against the throne of God. Friends, they knew not the father. Neither will they accept Christ or repent. It is not in them. And their fruit declares it. It identifies them. But, we are not called to separate the tares from the wheat lest we uproot the wheat and so we must trust in God's process.

You see, at the time when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ walks upon the earth in his ministry. That would have been from around 27 in the common era to 30CE, because that count actually starts when Christ is 3 years old and he died on the cross at the age of 33 and we've got it recorded that he was crucified in 30 AD. At that time there were synagogues as far as Rome already. And the reason why this is not understood is because there are two books that were taken out. Now I'm not saying that it is inspired text. I'm just saying it has historical value. And that is about the, oh man I always forget this name of the two books. It nicely slots in between Malachi and Matthew. I can't remember the names of the books. (Maccabees, 1st and 2nd.) In any case, in those books, there is conversation that takes place between Israel or Judah and Rome that sees the Romans or the Greeks come into place in Israel. The northern tribes, those 10, technically 11, between 10 and 11, but because the Lord took 11 tribes away and kept just Judah for himself, but some of those have gone in and a great portion of Levi actually went back into Judah and they were already also established in Judah by their sanctuary cities which was sort of like a big deal. Let's just leave it at that.

But these 10, what we call lost tribes, we do not have any record in the word of God that they ever rejoined with Judah to unite the house of Jacob again. That's why Ezekiel 37 is just before the war of Gog and Magog. Now, we've got these 11 tribes, essentially 10 tribes, that have gone missing in biblical text after 2 Kings 17. From there on out, you are dealing with the likes of Judah, the house of Judah, for the sake of King David, until Christ. And then Christ declares this to His brethren from the tribe that He comes from, even from His clan. (He comes from the clan of King David. His mother had some lineage to the daughters of Aaron through Elizabeth, her cousin.) He proclaims that the kingdom of God is near, even in us. It is at hand. And they, those in Judea, did not receive Him. They crucified Him. Now, there were many that did. Just by the way, in case you didn't know that, there's many that actually did believe. Today, we would call them Messianic Jews.

Then the Lord Jesus Christ is crucified. We've got the church going into some form of being persecuted. We see this with the likes of Paul, or Saul then, coming against the church and there's this persecution of the sect of those that walk in the way of Jesus Christ. All right? In other words, we're talking about all the text in the New Testament. In 70 AD, and Paul was still alive at this time, Jerusalem fell. The temple was burnt down and the Jews were scattered by the Grecians, or the Romans, the Greek people and they disbursed. Now they were disbursed (scattered) before that already, as we learned from the synagogues that are everywhere. But, the church now is also disbursed and Assyria have supplanted the tribes of the 11 or the 10 lost tribes as they are known. And from there on out, what we know, as the house of Jacob was scattered broad and wide all over the world.

We see the Roman Empire adopting the Christian belief under Constantine. We see they shape that by doing an all-inclusive pagan entry into the gospel. We see the Sabbath day being changed, the calendar being changed and all of this takes place in a way that it is sort of like subverted under a disguise. You know, the victor writes the history books and places names get changed by the victors. Then in 1917 something happened. British royalty sends a note to Sir the Rothschild and gives them what was then known as Palestine for a Zionist move to establish the nation of Israel. 1917, it's known as the Balfour Declaration. In the house of the Rothschild’s today, they still have that Balfour Declaration. They've got it. I think it was William Churchill that sent it? Something to that effect. Friends, the territory belonged to; well, the ground at that time was under the authority of the crown of England, the United Kingdom. And then we see atrocities, between 65 and 80 million people die in the Second World War. In 1947, a nation is birthed, in one day.

Now, what many (think is all of Israel, are actually more so just the Jews) I think is because there are these efforts to bring the Jews back home. But it is the Yehudim, friends. It's the Yehudim. It's the house of Judah and there is a significance to that, too. There's a significance that I'm not going into at this point, because you need to understand the end time prophecies in order to understand the crucial bit that the house of Judah has (to be) established in that area again, even for a third temple to be built. What I'm trying to show you here is that the scattering of the house of Jacob, of all 12 tribes, it is the Lord that brought it into place.

At first, the house of Judah was sent off into Babylon. And then, the Lord brings them back. And remember, the decree of King Cyrus and they rebuilt the temple? But, as they come back from Babylon, they bring some of those practices in and when you get back, you get Ezra 9. And then, they join themselves to the kingdom or the empire of the Romans, calling Caesar their king. And, in 70 AD, they were scattered again. Because now, the descendant of David that would forever be enthroned was standing at the right hand of God in heaven. It's a long story, about 6,000 years old, or developed over 6,000 years.

Now friends, we are also warned by the Word of God, not to keep ourselves busy with genealogies. It causes contention and disharmonies and we are called to live in peace with all people (as far as possible - Paul interjects.) We should not let the world's classifications divide us, for it is the enemy of God that brings discord. As the tares and the wheat stand upon the field, the Lord brings his water to both. Both receive the water, but only one kind produces the fruit. Leave the things that are above. (You know what is above us, above our understanding, leave it to God.) Trust and wait on Him.

I leave you, yet again; with another quote of Jeremiah: "Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say ye that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd doth his flock." (Interesting.) "For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he."

In modern speech, “God has got this.” It is in his hand. All according to his purpose, which will be revealed to us in due season. Just trust in Him and He will gather all that is His.

We don't want you to go out and shake people by the shoulders and say, "Oh, you're a child of Satan." God is the judge. And, if you're not familiar with animals, if you didn't grow up on the farm, if you do not pay attention to those types of things, you might not necessarily be able to tell the difference between a sheep-ram and a goat-ram. There is a difference. But, if you're not familiar with it, if you do not know the word, if you do not know the history, if you do not know how these things came to be, you might get confused whether you are a sheep or a goat. And here is a hint: If you can repent, if you can receive the word of God, if you can receive the salvation by Christ, you are no goat, because goats can't. Neither is it available to them. James makes it clear. They previously were ordained to condemnation. They are from a bloodline that is cursed. They cannot. They will not. They are incapable of it. But they're very good tricksters, just like their father. To differentiate between the two is not in our judgment. It is for God to judge. He's the righteous judge. What we can do is grow and produce fruit, so that we are not mistakenly taken as a tare.

4. Verse of the Day

From the YouVersion Bible App

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Note on the Verse:

I want you to think about this race that we are to run as Paul proclaims it. You see, Paul would have known Isaiah and so would Christ. There is a mystery that was proclaimed by the earth's early apostles friends which many in our generation of a truth long ago already have forgotten. How many of you can trace at least partially that your ancestors come from another country?

5. Optional Reading / Study Expansion

6. Closing Paragraph

As you can see, there is an extensive list of references in this regard, and believe me, this is not all. But, what we can take from this is just what is written and available to us, that now we know in part.

“God has got this.” It is in his hand. All according to his purpose, which will be revealed to us in due season. Just trust in Him and He will gather all that is His. Endure in your faith in Jesus Christ until the end.

Selah, Shalom.
