Luke 6:1-12 KJV
[1] And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. [2] And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? [3] And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him; [4] how he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? [5] And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. [6] And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. [7] And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. [8] But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. [9] Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? [10] And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. [11] And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. [12] And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Or, would you rather have me speak on the Sabbath, maybe about David as he was fleeing from the wrath of Saul and ate as Jesus stated here and also collected the sword of Goliath and went on to Gath (the hometown of Goliath.)
Here is the verse that I highlighted first...
Luke 6:7 KJV
[7] And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

Now, we have all these verses, and what shall we speak about? The second Sabbath after the first as we find in verse 1, which I still don't understand? We know nothing, unless the LORD grants understanding, unless we poke about in the dark like blind men.
No, we will speak on this verse, because that is what The LORD gave to me.
Luke 6:12 KJV
[12] And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.6.12.KJV
There is the heart of GOD in the matter, that we will pray to Him, even all night long at times, that we seek the will of GOD in all. The Lord Jesus Christ is Lord over the Sabbath, and He went out into a mountain to pray. He prayed all night long. Which of these do you consider more precious to the LORD, that Jesus (and us by extension) rests on the Sabbath, heal someone with an infirmity or seek His Presence all night long? Which is greater, the show bread in the Temple, or the life of mankind? Christ did not give His life for the Sabbath, but He did for you and me.
Now, we do not know what took Jesus Christ up to the mountain in prayer, we would have to assume. And by assumption, we would make the same parallax error mam always makes, to judge things that are beyond our understanding. Even if we consider what may take us in such a separation, we are not worthy to compare ourselves to Christ, and yet are we called to become like Christ in righteousness. I can't tell you why Christ went to pray like this. Just like Ii can't tell you why verse one speaks of the second Sabbath after the first, I have no knowledge of it.
What I can tell you is that a man was healed on the Sabbath by Christ, and this infuriated those that hated Him, because they could do nothing at the time, since He asked, what is better to do, to give life or take it? Speaking right to the murder in their heart. What I can tell you is that Jesus spent that entire night upon the mount in prayer, for that is what is written, and I believe.
Now, what can we take away from this today? Is prayer to GOD in separation an important thing? Why else would Jesus do it? It is also recorded that He did in this manner on other occasions too. Is this the Source of His Knowledge, how He says, He only does that which He hears of the Father? To confirm would be by conjecture, though there be a strong foundation for it. I can tell you, that this verse at the end of our reading is what is important today, for it is the Lord that brought my attention to it, when I was set on writing on another. Shall I now go up on a mountain to pray? How, when GOD gave me charge over taking care and serving my bedridden mother? GOD wants us to know how Jesus prayed, else, why is it even recorded here?
The Same Holy Spirit that was guiding the author Luke to write this down, from all the testimonies that He collected, as He wrote here to Theophilus (Luke 1:1-5) is available to us, by the outpouring of the Spirit of GOD upon all flesh. How would we learn to hear the LORD, to do the Will of GOD? Even as it pertains unto each of us this day? Is the Holy Ghost not sent to be our Comforter? So, I cannot tell you what took Christ up on that mountain, maybe He was guided by the Holy Spirit to do that, just as the Holy Spirit guided Him into the wilderness after His baptism to be tempted by Satan there. But, I can tell you what would take me to such a mountain, to go and pray all night long, to seek the Face of GOD, and His will to be made known to me. What is next for me to do, that will please Him? Maybe even to enquire of GOD with whom He wants me to work.
On that, I can speak of my own practice, not of going to a mountain, but of starting my day in the presence of GOD. Before others awake in my house, here I sit, and write that which I receive of GOD. I write in a way to convey to you, what I have received, as I was called and trained by GOD to do. Giving the first fruit of my day, while I am at the peak of my ability, refreshed from the rest I had tonight. That refreshment is from GOD, Who had a Guard over me as I rested all night long, so I give my first hours to the LORD in tithing. I can only speak from what I have, what I understand. I come before the LORD for instruction, but also to learn of GOD, our Father in Heaven, by the Guidance of the Holy Spirit. Sadly, what I know and trust, what I believe in surely is exactly that, which man will attack in disbelief. That man can commune with GOD. Still, whether others believe it or not, it is my reality before GOD. And, for each man to find his own, there might be a need to scale a mountain, just like Jesus Christ has done.
Man can operate by self-determinism or follow the instruction of another, whether that be man or GOD. All is sealed in the choices we make from day to day, and whom we honour with it. Such then is our faith measured out to us, by word and deed, which will be judged by GOD Most High, and that duty, He has assigned to the resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ at His Right Hand.
So, in conclusion then, I think the question for today is what would make you go up on a mountain like Christ has done. What would bring you to Solomon prayer before the Most High, our Father in Heaven.
Selah, Shalom

Isaiah 54:17 KJV
[17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
