1 Peter 2:1-25 KJV

[1] Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, [2] as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: [3] if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. [4] To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, [5] ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. [6] Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. [7] Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, The stone which the builders disallowed, The same is made the head of the corner, [8] and A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. [9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: [10] which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. [11] Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; [12] having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. [13] Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; [14] or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. [15] For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: [16] as free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. [17] Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. [18] Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. [19] For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. [20] For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. [21] For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: [22] who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: [23] who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: [24] who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [25] For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Note for 20250206

What does Peter write about those that do not want to be corrected? That's right, that Christ and the Gospel of Christ that we bring, will be offensive to them. It is not you who they reject, in fact, they would rather have you going along with what they do; no, they reject Jesus Christ in you. Tell me, where does it say to go to war with those that are against you, or even those who rule over you as masters? Does Peter not write here to honour the king? So many do not want to hear this message, they do not want to hear to live in peace with all men.

Man has done terrible things in the name of GOD, then they reference what Israel was led to do in Canaan. There is one major difference, GOD gave Canaan to the descendants of Jacob as an inheritance, and Moses made it quite clear why those who were driven out were to be removed from the face of the earth. (For a quick view, read the book of Jude.) Did GOD promise us territories here on earth, or is our reward stored up in heaven? You see, our inheritance is with Jesus Christ, which He will bring to us when we are redeemed. To avoid confusions, and I not be accused of offence, it is promised at the appearance of Jesus Christ, when He returns. No! Today, man grabs territory by greed and theft. Is it not written about in the law, not to move ancient boundary markers? And what of the jubilee, when man is to be restored to what is his by inheritance? What about the sabbatical year, when slaves are to be set free? Do you see it? Our oppression is because of man's lawlessness, but are we called to rise up against those leaders in revolt, to Whom does vengeance belong? Don't you know that Christ will lead us out of captivity, much like Moses led Israel out of captivity? Now... Did Moses give Israel a Law from GOD as a covenant between them and GOD? Did Jesus give us instruction? Did Christ Jesus not say that if we love Him that we will obey His instruction? That we will love one another as ourselves, even as He has loved us, laying His life down for us. Did He not say to love our enemies? Did He not teach us by prayer to ask for the forgiveness of our transgression as we forgive those that transgressed against us? Is it not the meek that He promised that they will inherit the earth?

We should carry one another's burdens, bear one another's infirmities. What should we not do with the freedom we have in Christ? (see verse 16 above.)

Friends, we are in the series, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What we read here is not unattached from Matthew 5. What we read here is not unattached to the letters of Apostles to the church. With this, we should consider that which was written to the Romans, to the Hebrews, to the Galatians and Ephesians. To us the letter to Timothy was left too, as it is with that which was written to the Thessalonians. The Book of Acts must not be forgotten, and the guidance of Jude and James not neglected. For these, all of them are testimonies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I may as well have named this series, The New Testament established by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Are we not called to become new creatures in Christ? That means, leaving the old man behind, the man of offence and the body of sin and death. Now, we do not stand in defense of self any longer, we do not go to war to gain territory and riches, but we seek the Kingdom of GOD first, and His righteousness, and Trust in GOD that what we need shall be added unto us by the measure of GOD Himself. Sure, the meek person may not be promoted by this world to senior positions, so that we do not rule over mankind and make ourselves guilty of oppressing others. Sure, we may not receive great riches here, so we do not cause anyone to look at us and covet what we have. We are called to be humble and meek, not the head but the foot. We are not called to be served, but to be servants of the Most High GOD, our Father in Heaven, His will be done. We are called to stand in that which this world calls foolish. I know, there are many that, upon hearing this, might take offence. Jesus Christ is our portion, and when He comes to reign, He will give unto each according to His works. "Good and faithful servant," those are the words I want to hear from Him. You cannot rule before you have first been a servant, is a ruler then not the servant of those he rules over?

To many of you, life might seem void of purpose, we are just waiting for Jesus Christ's return, right? No! We are trained for that which is to come, this is our day of preparation. And has Jesus Christ not come to us by the Holy Spirit? If we cannot obey here and now, why would Christ give us rule over others in His Kingdom to come? If we cannot show good judgment, mercy and grace, then what part have we in Him? If we cannot learn compassion, if we cannot take pity on another, why would Christ entrust even a household to us, not to speak of cities and provinces of the Kingdom of GOD. Did Jesus not inform us that we will rule and reign with Him? Well, this life, it is the school of that which is to come. Shall we then rule as man rule now? Have we not stood witness to the depravities of mankind here? Did we not witness oppression and greed, shall there be such a thing in the Kingdom of GOD? Joint-heirs with Christ, what did you think it meant? So, for those that look towards Heaven as some form of retirement, don't you know by the Spirit that you are misinformed? If then a people join together in the Holy Spirit of GOD, in Jesus Christ, then the Ruachim, "the Spirit Filled Ones," the children of GOD Most High, the Creator and the Ruler of all Creation. Are we not in the womb, awaiting to be delivered, and are we not witnessing the contractions of travail already, just as Jesus Christ foretold. Did He not say, He went to prepare a place for us, that His Father's House has many Mansions? Did He not say that GOD is a Spirit? Is it not written that we must be Holy, for GOD is HOLY. Is it not written that GOD is Love? Did Paul not write that Love is the Greatest of all?

You see, if you don't know what you are enduring here for, you might run out of steam. You might give up, you might seek to save the life of flesh. You are not called to the flesh, but to the Spirit of GOD. When dust returns to dust, the breath of GOD in us will return back to the Source of it. Yes, that which made man a living soul (Genesis 2:7) Maybe now you will understand, why the child of GOD does not fear death as it is known by man on earth, for he has found the Truth in Jesus Christ. That we will be resurrected to life eternal, with God and His Son, and all the Saints with Him. So, we do not love our lives unto death, nor do we hold back from passing over to that which is to come, for it is Home.

I have typed out all of this here today, so that those who do not listen to the audio note would not be robbed from the promise we have in Jesus Christ. Life everlasting, by the declaration of GOD The Father Himself in John 3:16; that is what awaits us at our redemption, when that which is GOD'S is returned to Him.

Hallelujah, now let all iniquity be purged from us, that we may be redeemed by GOD.

Selah, Shalom

Romans 12:19-21 KJV

[19] Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. [20] Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. [21] Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
