Mark 11:1-33 KJV

[1] And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, [2] and saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. [3] And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. [4] And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. [5] And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? [6] And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. [7] And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. [8] And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. [9] And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: [10] Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. [11] And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.  [12] And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: [13] and seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. [14] And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. [15] And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; [16] and would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. [17] And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. [18] And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. [19] And when even was come, he went out of the city.  [20] And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. [21] And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. [22] And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. [23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. [24] Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. [25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. [27] And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, [28] and say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things? [29] And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. [30] The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. [31] And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? [32] But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. [33] And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

Mark 11:25-26 KJV

[25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

There is quite a bit that can be "unpacked" from the text today. It is for this reason that you often hear sermons that center around just a few verses. For those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD and the son of David, there is no need for me to establish your faith in Him again. You know that Jesus is the promised Messiah, even the Word of GOD made flesh. However, if you are a tree, do you bear fruit in all seasons? Or are you withered away like this fig tree? Have we brought unrighteousness into the house of GOD, like these money changers, and who did Christ say is the House of GOD? Where is the Kingdom of GOD? Where is faith stored up and who will move mountains by it? If we ask in prayer and believe in our heart, what may prevent it from coming to pass? If you wait for me to give you the answer, then the answer is not in you; these things you must be able to answer by the faith you carry within.

How many times in the wilderness did Moses plead with the LORD not to destroy the Israelites? He said to GOD, that if He killed them in the desert that the Egyptians will say that He took the Israelites into the wilderness to kill them, and GOD repented and spared them, only he brought out a remnant from the wilderness after keeping them in the wilderness for 40 years. Did Moses and Aaron enter the promised land with the remnant of Jacob? Do not fear a man, but fear GOD.

At communion, can you partake if you have ought against someone? Are you not to leave the Lord's table and first correct that? Why then, would these words offend you?

Mark 11:25-26 KJV

[25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Is it not in the nature of GOD?

I have recently again confirmed that we are to keep the watch. We cannot go through this life with blinkers on. We are to see the Truth in all things, wise as serpents and gentle as doves. From what we have read here today, and if you can remember, of that we have read before; what may the fruit of revenge be? What might the fate of the avenger be? For GOD said in this Word, "revenge is Mine." Revenge by man is a transgression of these two verses, among others not quoted here.

Mark 11:25-26 KJV

[25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.11.25-26.KJV

If then not forgiven, how might you meet the day of judgment, even the day of our LORD? In short, if you give, then will you receive. Is it not written that man will be rewarded according to his deeds?

Even now there may be some of you saying in your heart, "you do not understand what was done to me." Have you not heard my testimony? I have been falsely accused, I have been beaten and violated when I was just a child. I have been betrayed, back-stabbed and my name has been slandered behind my back. And I say to you, when all this that you see has been removed the Word of GOD will still stand, especially on the last day at the judgment of mankind.

Man plays a game of religion, with masks and robes to parade around to gain favor from his fellow man, but to GOD, we are as good as naked. You can say you have forgiven, but do your words and your deeds marry up? If not, then we stand in hypocrisy, the very thing Christ was most outspoken about against the Pharisees and scribes.

When you pray the Lord's prayer, do you not say the words, "and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us?"

I ask you again, what is revenge then? Don't you know that GOD can drop a mountain on your head? All it takes is for someone who believes to say to a mountain to move from where it is. Is it not herein the text we read today?

In my watch, I have seen Christians adopt an attitude of revenge, even a judgment of their fellow man in an eye for an eye. "They will get what they deserve," edged out in their heart. They have moved away from the compassion of their heart. Is it not written, do not repay evil with evil? Did Christ not say, "love thine enemy." If our enemy is hungry, should we feed him, and when he is thirsty, are we to give to him to drink? Shall Christians then go and demand a life for a life? Judge not lest ye be judged, and remember, GOD sees even to the utmost deepest part of man's aberration. Even that done in secret. Let him without sin then cast the first stone.

As men, we make suggestions to our friends. But, the Words of Christ is not mere suggestion, it shows The Way. If you do not follow the instruction of the Lord, you will lose your way and become lost.

You cannot claim to believe in Christ and deny His Word. It is in His Word that you are forgiven and set free from the penalty of sin, which is death, even the second death.

Selah, Shalom.

Mark 4:9 KJV

[9] And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Let us expand this, to hear what is said

Mark 4:3-9 KJV

[3] Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: [4] and it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. [5] And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: [6] but when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. [7] And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. [8] And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. [9] And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Now let’s look at the layout by Christ of this, to be understood (As we just recently looked at)

Mark 4:10-20 KJV

[10] And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. [11] And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: [12] that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. [13] And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? [14]  The sower soweth the word. [15] And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. [16] And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; [17] and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. [18] And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, [19] and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. [20] And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
