Mark 5:1-20 KJV
[1] And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. [2] And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, [3] who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: [4] because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. [5] And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. [6] But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, [7] and cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. [8] For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. [9] And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. [10] And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. [11] Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. [12] And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. [13] And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. [14] And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. [15] And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. [16] And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. [17] And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. [18] And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. [19] Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. [20] And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

What is mankind's trouble? The moment these evil spirits are ordered out of Legion, he becomes tame. We read in the Book of Revelation, how when Satan is bound, peace will come to the world for a thousand years; who then is the instigator of sin? Who is it that troubles mankind?
However, do not forget, it is also written that man is not tempted away after sin, if the desire for it is not already present in him. As if in a confirmation, we also read in Revelation, that when Satan is loosed again, that the whole world follows after him again. Now what does that and this we just read here have in common?
Mark 5:10-13 KJV
[10] And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. [11] Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. [12] And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. [13] And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

What is the territory thing? And, if then not in the man, then in the pigs? Can an unclean spirit then possess an animal, and what about our pets? Look here in the scripture how those from that area began to pray that He leaves their coasts. What happened to the unclean spirits when they drowned the pigs, did they die with the pigs, or find new hosts to dwell in... In that country which they did not want to leave in the first place? The text here is not clear on that, what is revealed by the Holy Spirit? Why did they ask to go into the pigs in the first place? These unclean spirits spoke of territory and then the people came and made prayers regarding territory.
Come, let us consider again what we have read in Ephesians 6, that we struggle not against flesh and blood. Is it these things we read here in Mark? Can they move from host-to-host; and do they torment the host? They killed the pigs. What did Christ say about him from whom a spirit is sent out, who is found empty and swept clean when that spirit has gone to dry places and returns? Does he not go find seven friends worse than him, and that man's state is worse than at the beginning? What is the seal that prevents that from happening again? Or shall I ask correctly, Who is that Seal?
We live in a world with unseen things. These things that Paul explains who we struggle with in Ephesians 6:12. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." And in verse 11, he writes this, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Did Christ not also say, resist the devil and he shall flee from you? Here in the scripture that we read today, where did Christ find these unclean spirits? In the man identified as Legion, for they are many. Reading Mark 1:23-27 might shed some light on this for you again too.
Look at the state of Legion before and after these evil spirits are driven out; is it the same man?
We read without understanding. And even when there might be some understanding, many still read without adoption of the Word of GOD. We read these things, and then, as soon as we get into contention with another, we somehow forget that we struggle not against the person we see before us, but this we just read of. We do not have to be tormented by these spirits, we do not have to be dragged along after their desires, nor do we have to be bound to them, that they bind us, even to cut our own flesh. But, if you are not ready yet to receive the Holy Spirit of GOD in you, then maybe what is in you now, will cause less harm than the friends that could be called by him. So are we not devil focussed, but Christ focussed; because when you choose Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit comes in, then all those unclean spirits must leave. Then are you sealed to GOD, by the Spirit of GOD that comes to dwell within you.
Now, you may say, "I don't believe all these spiritual things." Okay, I hear you. There is just one slight problem with that statement... Jesus said, GOD is a Spirit.
"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:2 KJV
And what happens when you give up the ghost? Does the flesh not lay dead as an effect?
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7 KJV
Here is a lot to consider. Legion's reason for his name was this, for we are many. Not only are there such things as unclean spirits, but even from their own words, they are many. We stand in a period of Grace and Mercy, by what GOD has done for us upon the cross. We live our lives in ignorance of the real dangers to our souls. Our ignorance does not make our delusions true, it only confirms our delusion.
We struggle not against flesh and blood, and there are many that count to the enemy's camp.
Selah, Shalom.

1 Timothy 6:11-14 KJV
[11] But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. [12] Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. [13] I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; [14] that thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
