John 14:1-31 KJV

[1]  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. [5] Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? [6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. [8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. [9] Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? [10] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. [11] Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. [12] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. [13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. [15]  If ye love me, keep my commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. [19] Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. [20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. [22] Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? [23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. [25]  These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. [26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. [27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. [28] Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. [29] And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. [30] Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. [31] But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

Note for 20241217

Here is the hope of the children of GOD, that we may be where Christ Jesus is. And yet, according to Jesus, He and the Father will come to make their abode in us. Now, as unpopular as it may sound, this is a conditional promise. If we can obey the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ, then will He know that we love Him. Which words? All of them! He is the Word of GOD, that was made flesh for the sake of the Salvation of Mankind. Now, if the Father and the Son come to make Their abode in us, what more shall we hear by the Holy Spirit according to this chapter we just read, spoken by Christ? Friends, this is red letter text. These words are like the ribbon that Rehab hung from the window of her dwelling in the wall of Jericho. The Holy Spirit is like the Blood upon the doors of Israel at the Passover in Egypt when the LORD delivered them from the Egyptians. Did they leave empty handed? Will we? Did Christ not say that the meek will inherit the Earth? Is the wealth of the wicked not stored up for the righteous? Who is righteous, except him that is in Christ and Christ in Him? In Whose Name did Christ say will the Father send the Holy Spirit unto us, which is the Holy Ghost? And what will the Holy Spirit give unto us? Read, it is written right here in the scripture we just read.

Of the wicked it is said, that hearing, they will not hear; and seeing, they will not see. But we, are we to see and hear what is unseen and unheard by the World who cannot receive the Father because it knows not the Father. We are to know the Father by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Son of GOD.

Shall I make it a little more clear? If Christ then comes to take us unto Himself, to be where He is; where will we then be when He reigns on earth? Are we not promised to be resurrected? Are we not promised to receive the resurrected form of Christ? Even a Glorified form? A form that can walk through walls and appear where we want to go? These things are too high for mere human understanding, for now we only know in part. But when we are lifted up, raised from the dead; then shall we know what there is to know. We will know and be known.

Do you believe what you read? Then this chapter should be a "game changer" for your faith. Even greater things than what Christ has done, He said we will do. And if it is not done yet, then may it be that it is still coming? Christ is the Head of us, and we are His Body here on earth. Who then must reach to the lost, who will hold the abandoned child? Who shall speak for the Poor and Oppressed amongst us?

In short: There is that which can and must be done now and then there is that which is still coming when we are raised in Christ, in His perfection will we then stand. For now, we have this; whatsoever we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, that will He do for us. If we can't do what is needed, then Christ can do it in His might and power that GOD has given Him. What we therefore ask, we must ask in Righteousness, according to the Righteousness of Christ. Still must it always be in subjection to the will of GOD. What is given to us to do, in the authority that we have received from Christ by the Holy Spirit, that we must do. That we obey His instruction, what He has given to us in and by the Word of GOD. In that He will strengthen us, to do His will that is in full alignment with the Will of our Father in Heaven. Remember how Christ told us that GOD is a Spirit? We should thus live in Spirit and in the Truth of GOD. What is spoken in the Spirit, is of the Spirit, even the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD and the Word was GOD. And the Spirit of GOD hovered upon the face of the deep. And the Word of GOD was made flesh and dwelt among men. And the Word of GOD made Himself known to mankind, and sacrificed Himself upon the cross, so that all who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. The Word of GOD was the Light of men. Whosoever then believes in Him, even who believes upon His Name, to them it was given to become the sons of GOD. What is a "becoming," without process? Does it require participation in such a process? What can then enter into the Kingdom of GOD? What have you learned? Who is the foundation of our faith? In Who are we anchored in?

His sheep will know His voice and follow Him. Like Father, like Son. Who must we become?

Micah 5:2-15 KJV

[2] But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. [3] Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. [4] And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. [5] And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. [6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. [7] And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. [8] And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. [9] Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off. [10] And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: [11] and I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds: [12] and I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: [13] thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. [14] And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. [15] And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
