Matthew 7 KJV
Matthew 7:1-6 KJV - Thou Hypocrite
[1] Judge not, that ye be not judged. [2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. [3] And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? [4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? [5] Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. [6] Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Note for 20240929
We read, but do we implement what we read into our lives? Before we go further, let us just clear up some words that may be slightly foreign to our speech.
Mattityahu (Mat) 7:3 CJB
[3] Why do you see the splinter in your brother’s eye but not notice the log in your own eye?

The carnal mind and heart is swift to judge others. It runs a process of comparison, one against another in the framework of if one is right, the other must be wrong. Sadly, this is also a highly biased process, since we base what we see against our own understanding of the world around us. Yet, the Word is relatively clear here, as we judge others, so will we be judged.
How often is even the Word used by people to destroy one another? That should not be, the Word is for correction, and sometimes we forget where we ourselves came from. If you once rolled around in the mud with the pigs, are you better than those that are still in the mud? Is it not the LORD that saved you? Be careful of hypocrisy, friends. Even in this text you can see that the Lord Jesus Christ does not look favorably on hypocrites.
Has anyone ever taken a chance on you, when you did not quite deserve it? Has someone been patient with you, as the Lord worked things of righteousness out within you? You see, many use the last verse in today's reading in order to withhold mercy from another. Don't you know it speaks more about when to keep your opinion for yourself? We speak when we should remain silent and pray on a matter, and keep silent in the moment when a good word may bring order.
Today, I want to ask you to consider who takes the lead in your life? Even if you have read the Word of GOD and can rightly divide it, are your lives not still lived by that which you agree with? Do you agree with all that you have read in the Word of GOD? It is your belief according to your understanding that is applied in your life. You decide.
It is easy to say another person is wrong, but the Truth is probably closer that they have not come to a fuller understanding yet. How sure are you of your own understanding, for the Word says that we all fall short of the Glory of GOD. To say, don't throw your pearls at the feet of swine, also means that you have identified who the swine are. Did you take counsel with the Lord in that determination? Sure, there are those that we can see by the fruit of their mouth and their work that they clearly work with the enemy, reserve your tongue to silence, then, on matters of our faith. Maybe that is why Christ spoke in parables, so that those who can hear, would; and those that couldn't, would not.
Regardless of the stark warning spoken by Christ in the scripture for today, mankind remains judgmental of each other. If then judging with mercy and kindness in mind, is that then not how you will be judged too? Does the Word not also say that those who showed mercy will receive mercy, but those that live by the sword will die by the sword. In judging others, you inadvertently judge yourselves. Did we not just recently learn in the Lord's Prayer, "forgive our debts as we forgive our debtors?"
There is something more I would like to show you.
Mark 6 KJV
[1] And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. [2] And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? [3] Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. [4] But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. [5] And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. [6] And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
Now just after this, you can read for yourself, Jesus sent out disciples to minister unto the people. He gave them authority over demons and the ability to heal. Those in his home country could not come to believe, because they saw him differently than Who He is.
If a man is offended by you, he will not hear you. Then you should keep quiet, and I say, find a way to minister to him by one that he will hear. Too often, we think of ourselves to be the one who saves, but do people have to hear about the Salvation of Christ from you, or can you permit another to speak so they will hear? Be careful of such pride. As a father, I have come to know that I must live a life that shows Christ in me. My children might look differently at me because I am familiar to them. But, when they can see in me, that which another spoke to them about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; then they can know that Christ is also in me. How is that possible, if I am not consistently working on the log in my own eye, rather than jumping on them for every single little thing that they do wrong?
I trust Christ for my Salvation, but also for theirs. He will choose the instrument to use to reach them. They are His first.
Shalom

Galatians 6:6-10 KJV
[6] Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. [7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. [9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. [10] As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
