Note for 2024/07/14 - ‭Philippians 4:1-23 KJV‬ - The TRUMP of Division

‭Philippians 4:1-23 KJV‬

[1] Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. [2] I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. [3] And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. [4] Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. [5] Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. [6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  [8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. [10] But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. [11] Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. [12] I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. [13] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. [14] Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. [15] Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. [16] For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. [17] Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. [18] But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. [19] But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. [20] Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. [21] Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. [22] All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Cæsar's household. [23] The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. It was written to the Philippians from Rome by Epaphroditus.

Note for 2024/07/14

To be content in every state we may find ourselves in, to rejoice always. We can do all things through Christ which strengthen us. But, that is not all that is written here, is it? There is also a strong message in the supply of need to each other, even gracious gifts, seen as fruit from the Spirit.

It reminds me of Matthew 25:31-46 again, but what have we then done and what have we not done to our brothers and sisters in the faith? Whose Names are then written in the book of Life? Even among the godless and the lost unbelievers, I like to consider that, at most, they are not delivered yet then. For who knows what tomorrow brings for all. Today lost, maybe, with the Hope in Christ Jesus, they may be found and added to us in faith, as partakers unto the same resurrection in the Lord's appointed Day. Who stands in error today, by the Grace of GOD, may be corrected even on this very same day we stand in. That is the Great Hope in Christ, standing in line with the Will of GOD that none should perish, but all be saved, even unto everlasting life in Christ.

What is the fruit that comes from us then? Do we rejoice? Are we grateful partakers in the merciful kindness of our Father in Heaven? Do we love one another? Do we edify our brothers and sisters in the faith, or is all treated as a stranger, even considered a threat from the enemy? Have we then lost our faith in GOD, that He is our Protector? Have we closed our hands to others, forgetting that GOD is our Provider?

Friends, in plain language then; what is our faith when it hits the streets? Are we lights that shine for Christ in a dark world, or have we become torches that are switched on and off depending on our human judgment of the place and state we stand in? Have we become numb?

Tell me you do not see need, because then you are fortunate; but more likely, then you have become blind too. For even among the church, even of the preachers and teachers there is a need. Not want, friends, even need in desperation. In many places, sadly, there is even a famine for the Word of GOD. For soothsayer has gone out, not standing in a pure gospel; preaching for the sake of pleasing. Ministers even, that ministers not unto Christ, but unto the demands of people. The Word of GOD censored, to comply with the narrative of a world that is slipping faster now into a darkness that was prophesied would come.

I rejoice that there are still some who hold on to the Truth. Yes, even that, which the “Broadway,” calls, "old school." The way of Cain has flourished, the report of evil and criminal acts, suppressed; and in some circles, applauded. Sodom would gasp in shock, even shake their heads in witnessing what man today votes okay.

I hear the war drums beating, don't you? I see the decay of society. I see the acts of abuse, one unto another; even as some must lose for another's gain. I see the robbing of the poor, how the widows and orphans are forgotten, left to defend for themselves, while those considered good people count their collections of coins. Yes, I am terrified for the sake of the world, for they truly do not know what they are doing, rejecting all that come to shed a light on error. And in my lament, I am also torn, for in lament still I rejoice. For it is not just wickedness that I see, but also the day of my Lord drawing near. But, oh; the losses! How can I be content by the foolishness of mankind? I feel like, I assume Noah might have felt, in warning in the days before the flood. Many will say, "What is this disaster coming? It is not normal, GOD will not destroy the world. It will calm down. People will make it right or come up with a solution, technology is a marvel today." Are you prepared to wager your soul on that? What does the Word of GOD, even from the lips of Christ, say?

So I rejoice in the promise of The LORD, but I lament for the sake of the ignorant. I cry for those who refuse to hear sound words of warning. Nature has become a foe of man, even as they stand in witness and awe in the might of it. Recording and sharing the news of it in wonder. Man stands in the danger zone, marveling and saying, "Let's see what will happen." Man rebuilds houses in the flood plains, then acts surprised when they are flooded again. But, the true recklessness of man is in their consideration of the soul of man. For the foolish man would walk into danger, thinking it's harm is not for him.

If then deaf, will man see? Without belief, will man stand, or rather fall, in witness of that which was prophesied to come? I tell you, of all that I have witnessed; man will document his own destruction in the hope of gain. On social media, they say, "Follow me!" My answer is, no thank you. Why don't you rather follow the Lamb of GOD? I know, man's only Hope is Christ Jesus. Am I then, to make myself blind in their refusal of Him? "I'll go to my own church on Sunday," they will say; never going, but only pacifying.

We spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, don't we? We are the ambassadors of forgiveness and salvation. But, it is only for those that believe. Just because it hasn't rained for a while, doesn't mean rain won't come again. In the same way, just because it has always rained in season, does not mean it will rain again. Just because you have lived by the mercy of GOD, does not mean that mercy will be extended forever when you refuse Him. I make an argument for Christ in the Hope that you will hear, even at the slightest, that this might help, for you to convince others of Christ. The Malachi 4 moment will come too, for it is written in the Word of GOD. Who will leap like calves then, and who will form the dust beneath the feet of the righteous? My hope is that you will have life in Christ.

Shalom

From Psalms:

A Prayer of Moses

‭Psalm 90:1-17 KJV‬

[1]  LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place In all generations. [2] Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. [3] Thou turnest man to destruction; And sayest, Return, ye children of men. [4] For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday When it is past, and as a watch in the night. [5] Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which groweth up. [6] In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; In the evening it is cut down, and withereth. [7] For we are consumed by thine anger, And by thy wrath are we troubled. [8] Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. [9] For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: We spend our years as a tale that is told. [10] The days of our years are threescore years and ten; And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, Yet is their strength labour and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. [11] Who knoweth the power of thine anger? Even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. [12] So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. [13] Return, O LORD, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. [14] O satisfy us early with thy mercy; That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. [15] Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil. [16] Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory unto their children. [17] And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Understand what is unfolding before our eyes. See Biblical Prophecy unfolding. With all in mind, know, THIS IS THE TIME to prepare as Christ instructed us to prepare for what is coming. This will change the stance of the world, coalitions will form where everyone selects a “man” to stand behind.
