Global Week of 24-7 Prayer - 24-7 Prayer International
James 5:16 KJV
(Verse of the Day - September 3nd, 2025)
[16] Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1. Opening
As the Global Prayer Week starts, I am amazed at how the LORD prepares the table for those that trust in Him. Maybe, it has been a while since you were "serious" about your faith, maybe you have just been "idling" around, watching for something to happen in the heavens above: Well, I think you are about to see some things friend. Nevertheless, let not that expectation prevent you from praying for mercy and grace, that all the lost sheep may return to their Father in Heaven, in Jesus Christ our Lord.
There are a few ways in which you can partake in the Daily Devotional:
We are to receive the Word of GOD by the Spirit, so I strongly urge you to pray before you receive the Devotional. Let Christ take the lead in your Spiritual Development.
2. Scripture Text
Isaiah 55:1-13 KJV
[1] Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. [2] Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. [3] Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. [4] Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. [5] Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. [6] Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: [7] let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. [8] For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. [10] For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: [11] so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. [12] For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. [13] Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

3. Devotional Reflection
How beautiful is this short chapter in Isaiah? Yesterday, as I was doing my quiet time, I wanted to read it, but the Lord prevented me. He made it known to me that it is for today, and wow! How grateful I am that I obeyed, as this Global Week of Prayer kicks off here on a Monday. Even the verse of the day speaks to it, so you can know that GOD is doing a thing, mobilizing the church to prayer, even reclusive people, like me.
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
(Verse of the Day - September 1st, 2025)
[14] if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.7.14.KJV
This morning, the Lord guided me to start with the verse of the day in my personal quiet time. Now, without having to explain how the Lord speaks to me personally, it is important that I stress: it is not so much the form of how you habitually approach the table of the LORD, but that you remain obedient to His guidance. Remember, the LORD leads and we must follow. It is not so much about your day, as what it is about His Will for you on this day.
Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV
[6] Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: [7] let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.55.6-7.KJV
It is not so much that the LORD can and will lead you if you seek Him out, but also, that the LORD can cause a Global effect, He is the Creator of us all. When He commands His Creation, it moves as instructed.
Isaiah 55:10-11 KJV
[10] For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: [11] so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Now, as the LORD guided me in this quiet time, He guided me to mark these verses for today's note beforehand.
So, the call today, to each of us, is to return to Him; all who can Hear Him.
So, I want to share with you the devotional that opens up this Global Prayer Week:
"Turn to Him
Around 957 B.C., after King Solomon spent years planning, building, and finally dedicating the temple that his father, King David, had longed for—God made Himself known by sending fire down from heaven and filling the temple with His presence.
Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night, explaining how He’d heard his prayer and chosen his temple—reminding Solomon how the Israelites should respond when they encounter hard things. He said:
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT
Though this specific message was given to a specific people at a specific time in history—humbling ourselves, seeking God, and turning from our sins are timeless actions that we should continue to live out.
True humility, honest prayer, and genuine repentance are the keys to intimacy with God.
And we can’t fake it. We can’t just go through the motions. We can’t merely pretend to “look” humble and repentant. And we can’t do these things on our own.
We need to come to God in order to receive His help. We need Him in order to maintain a posture of humility, prayer, and repentance.
So if you’ve found yourself feeling distant from God, trying to do things your own way, or intentionally running in the opposite direction of your Creator—it’s not too late to turn around.
You can still come to God, admit that you can’t go through life alone, and seek His help. He’s a loving, forgiving, and healing Father who specializes in making all things new. He never stops inviting us to turn to Him."
But, friends, that is not where the amazement stops. You see, even this devotional I just shared with you, I didn't read before now, when I was guided to put it in here.
I know, sometimes it sounds like the believer types are a little "looney," we say stuff that seems impossible, but they are. Praying for someone with pins in their shoulder and it disappears, praying for someone with cancer, that goes into remission. These things seem like miracles, because they are miracles. The Divine Hand of GOD reaching out and touching us.
Listen to the invitation of GOD, by His Prophet Isaiah (and please note, it is not the same scripture as the global note I shared with you above, but the message is:)
Isaiah 55:3 KJV
[3] Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.55.3.KJV
Didn't GOD mobilize Peter and his company to go to Cornelius? Wasn't Cornelius a Gentile, and did GOD not prepare Peter for that purpose? Did the Holy Spirit not come upon all gathered in Cornelius' house, before they were baptized by water?
We, as mankind, like to have these "ways" of doing things. But GOD has His own ways of doing what He wants. So, He called a shepherd to become King, and even Samuel was amazed. GOD can move mountains, and He will, if it serves His purpose, if it glorifies His Name.
You may think that I, as a man, drafted this note this morning, but I know the truth of the miracle that took place here in my lounge, and how the LORD led me to this, this morning, and how He prepared it this weekend-long. Preventing me from reading when I wanted to, and then bringing this chapter this morning to align with a Global Call, when I was not aware of it, before I opened the YouVersion Bible App. I am blessed by the mercies of GOD, and it is in my heart, that you may know the LORD even as I do. As the LORD spoke to those in the Bible, He will also speak to you. Our Father is not a distant GOD, but His Kingdom is near, it is at hand.
4. Closing Paragraph
As I concluded my quiet time, the Lord lay the following verse on my heart, and I was guided to insert it here on the Devotional Note of the Day:
John 14:27 KJV
[27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.14.27.KJV
Prayer:
“Almighty Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; remember Thy merciful kindness when You look upon the sons (and daughters) of mankind. LORD, I pray that You will reveal Yourself in some small or great way to each that hunger in their heart for You. LORD, I pray that You will humble kings and princes, ministers and presidents and that you will stay even military forces at war with one another, for the sake of Your Children here on earth. Oh, LORD! I pray for a sign in the Heaven's, as a gesture of Peace from GOD, that those who can hear Your Voice, will hear and follow. I pray for the poor and oppressed, I pray for the widows and the orphans and Lord, I pray for Your Will to be done, even if I am left looking like a fool. For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and The Glory. And as my heart cries for a great revival in the church of Jesus Christ, still, I submit my request, subject to Your Will. Shalom, Father. Amen.”
Selah, Shalom.
