Luke 3:1-18 KJV

[1] Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cæsar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judæa, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituræa and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene, [2] Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. [3] And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; [4] as it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight. [5] Every valley shall be filled, And every mountain and hill shall be brought low; And the crooked shall be made straight, And the rough ways shall be made smooth; [6] And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. [7] Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? [8] Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. [9] And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [10] And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? [11] He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. [12] Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? [13] And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. [14] And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. [15] And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; [16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: [17] whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. [18] And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.

Note for 20250330

How fortunate are we? We can look at the manifestation of the Word of GOD in hindsight. Now, you may ask what I mean and I do not want you to continue in life without a certain knowledge. What has been hidden from the masses, has been brought to you to consider in the Holy Spirit.

The Glory of The LORD is our focus today. Now, who is spoken of when I say The LORD, written like this in all-caps? We speak of the Most High GOD, Yehovah-Ts'va'ot.

Our focus verse is this:

[6] And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Permit me to share with you a verse from the New Messianic Version of the Holy Bible please:

Isaiah 40:5 NMV

[5] And the glory of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see [it] together: for the mouth of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has spoken [it].

https://bible.com/bible/2135/isa.40.5.NMV

I give it to you in this version so you may see for yourself, the meaning of this as it is quoted here in Luke 3 as a reference to, "it is written." But, for a wider view of the quoted scripture, let us expand this a little too. Here is the entire section quoted in Luke 3, with a little further expansion in the KJV.

Isaiah 40:3-8 KJV

[3] The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. [4] Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: [5] and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. [6] The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: [7] the grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. [8] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Now, there is much more here than just that which we are looking at, but see how in verse 6 of Luke 3 and verse 5 in Isaiah are written in the same Spirit. Even of the grass and flowers, of which Jesus made mention of too. Our comparison this morning is the concept that "The Glory of The LORD" (Isaiah 40:5) and "the Salvation of GOD" (in Luke 3:6) is used by Luke as if it is the same. Now look at this from Gabriel's announcement to Mary, when he told her what she shall call the Name of Him that shall be born of her... (from the NMV so you may see.)

Luke 1:31 NMV

[31] And, behold, youi shall conceive in youri womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name YESHUA (GOD SAVES).

https://bible.com/bible/2135/luk.1.31.NMV

(When the NMV writes youi, it means you, specific to only you, one of you, else it would be you2f, which means many of you.)

Now, you have heard it before, but now you have read it for yourself, what does Yeshua (Jesus) mean? GOD (YEHOVAH) SAVES. Are you starting to put it together yet?

John 10:17-18 NMV

[17] Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. [18] No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

https://bible.com/bible/2135/jhn.10.17-18.NMV

We know He laid His life down for the sin of the world.

Now look at this, I was brought to my silent time at 3:16 this morning. Yes, you know where this is going but let's quote it for those that don't.

John 3:16-17 KJV

[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.3.16-17.KJV

Let us look at Luke 3:16...

Luke 3:16 KJV

[16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.3.16.KJV

Have you got it yet? Is salvation not to be born again of GOD'S Spirit? What is the Glory of the LORD, may it be the Salvation of man's soul? Did Jesus (God Saves) not die on the cross so we may live? Is it necessary for me to look at breath, wind and Spirit being "Ruach?"

Let us include verse 22 here for you today, from Luke 3. Look at what GOD said from Heaven at the Baptism of Jesus Christ.

Luke 3:22 KJV

[22] and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.3.22.KJV

Why did Jesus say The Father lives Him? And what is the Will of GOD according to John 3:16-17? Now what is the Glory of the LORD? And what was made manifest to us?

John 1:1-2, 14 KJV

[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God.

[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.1.1-14.KJV

We are saved by the Word of GOD, and His Glory is revealed in us, who believe in Yeshua the Christ. By our faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit of GOD is birthed in us, as we live and breath, by the HOLY GHOST, that Jesus Christ baptized us by. And we are the Body of Christ, the church, the bride, and even the New City Jerusalem, according to Revelation 21.

John 14:23 KJV

[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.14.23.KJV

Do you understand yet?

It has been 3 hours since I started my quiet time, time reading now at 6:10am. But, why do I mention it to you? Tell me, who will the Father and the Son make their abode with? Who spends 3 hours of the night while others sleep in the matters of the Kingdom of GOD? What is it to have love for GOD? What may a tithing of time bring for mankind? May it bring peace (shalom) when we ponder on the word of GOD (Selah) and consider His Word deeply? Who is the Word of GOD?

Look at this, from this mornings reading in Isaiah, now from the NMV:

Isaiah 40:6-8 NMV

[6] The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh [is] grass, and all the goodliness thereof [is] as the flower of the field: [7] The grass withers, the flower fades: because the spirit of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) blows upon it: surely the people [is] grass. [8] The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] shall stand forever.

https://bible.com/bible/2135/isa.40.6-8.NMV

Are you ready yet? Are you ready to Behold the Glory of the Most High GOD?

Malachi 4:1-3 NMV

[1] For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies], that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [2] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you2f shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. [3] And you2f shall trample down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this], says the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies].

I will end my writing here now, in respect of time, though I want to share more, and on the Voice recording of this I probably will.

May GOD be Blessed, may He be Praised, for He is Worthy. Blessed be the Name of GOD and blessed be the Word of GOD, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Selah, Shalom.

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 21)

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 NMV

[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Moshiach [Messiah], as though God-The Father did beseech (to call upon; appeal; beg) [you] by us: we pray [you] in Moshiach [Messiah]’s stead, be you2f reconciled to God-The Father. [21] For he has made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God-The Father in him.
