John 3:1-21 KJV
[1] There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: [2] the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. [3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [4] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. [9] Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? [10] Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? [11] Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. [12] If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? [13] And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. [14] And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Note for 20241204
How often have I asked you, "do you believe what you read?" You see, many remember the verse John 3:16, but who remembers the context? It stands in a relation of comparison to the serpent lifted on a pole by Moses in the wilderness, that Israel would be saved from the bite of the serpent. It stands in relation with this that Christ shared with Nicodemus, that he must be reborn of water and of Spirit. That what is born of the flesh is flesh and what is born of the Spirit is Spirit. Elsewhere it is written that we must receive the Word by the Spirit and in Truth. This here, said how a man can enter into the Kingdom of GOD. It is also written that we must worship in Spirit, for GOD is Spirit. We must be Holy for He is HOLY.
Can you claim to believe in Christ when you are not born of the Spirit? You can. Man can claim many things that he is not. In fact, most of mankind stand in this camp, making unsubstantiated claims. So have some come in amongst us without the Spirit of discernment, who is not born of the Spirit but of the flesh alone. They are mockers, making false claims and are after darker things than what the Word of GOD is meant for. They start sects, divide the word in such a way that it serves them; that they may bring some others into a lie and take them off after them. They look at the man and forget about GOD. They use the word of GOD to sell a lie, and to heap destruction up upon their own heads. The Lord said that His sheep knows His voice and will not follow another. Who is mankind then following today? And, are they then His sheep, or just goats in the sheep pen? In Matthew 25 we read where Christ speaks of dividing the sheep from the goats. I have often spoken about this. Man can not change his state, less he is reborn, as Christ speaks about here to Nicodemus.
Elsewhere, Christ speaks about first removing the beam of wood from your own eye, before attempting to remove the splinter from your brother's eye; but, man is reluctant to look at himself, maybe in fear of what he might find. Looking at oneself, you can only come to one of two directions: You either dismiss the error in yourself by excuse and justification; or, admit what you have found before the LORD your GOD in repentance. Then, Christ shall justify you, forgive your sin and bring you into the sheep pen as one of His own.
What is born of the flesh is flesh, and goes the way of flesh; dust to dust. But that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit and goes the way of the Spirit, just as Christ explained here to Nicodemus, that the Spirit is like the wind. We know it is blowing, we can feel it even upon the flesh, but, we do not know where it has come from, nor where it is going. The wind is only wind while it is in movement, when it is still, it is not around any more. Then it is no longer present. The Spirit is moved by the Word of GOD and without the Word, it becomes still.
So, my question to you still stands: do you believe what you read in the Word of GOD? What is the Word of GOD and what is the word of man? For the Word of GOD comes by the Spirit of GOD, but the word of man comes by the flesh and is born of the flesh. The Word of GOD proclaims the Kingdom of GOD, while the word of man seeks to build up the man himself. The carnal mind stands in enmity with GOD. So have many come in among us to build up their own kingdoms, separate from the Kingdom of GOD. They want mam to follow them, not GOD. They have planted weeds, amongst the wheat, in the field of GOD. Of such, you can read about in the Book of Jude. They refuse both the water and the Spirit of GOD. Like wolves sent in among the sheep, they bring destruction to the house of GOD. They divide the house, separating the goats from the sheep and taking the goats after them.
Now, as time progresses in our time, you will see more and more of this, for the Lord said that the falling away must come first. You will see it, those that were amongst us who performed grievous acts of horror. And when the judges of this world perceive this, they will judge the house of GOD, the Church, by those goats that were found among the sheep. They will say that our faith is in error, by what they found in wolves and goats. They will seek to disband the church, even proclaiming it to be a false religion. They will speak in blasphemy against the Throne of GOD, even proclaiming Christianity as an enemy of mankind. In such a time, the hirelings will flee the sheep fold, and the sheep shall be scattered. Do not be mistaken, the wolf is in the sheepfold to tear up all that is found within.
Are you then surprised that I urge you to follow Christ and not a man? That I urge you to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and not the imaginations of mankind. For simple comparison, let me then state it like this. Man's business is for profit, while GOD'S is by charity. By their fruit shall you know them. How then will you follow Christ if you don't know Him? The Word is clear, Jesus Christ is the Word of GOD (John 1:1-14) and His testimony, the Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10.) You will come to know Christ Jesus, by the Word of GOD, in Spirit and in Truth. Heed then the Word of GOD, especially those words spoken by Christ Himself. If Christ says that you must be reborn, why would you listen to a man? His sheep knows His voice and will follow no other.

John 6:35-40 KJV
[35] And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. [36] But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. [37] All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. [38] For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. [39] And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. [40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
