Revelation 12:1-17 KJV

[1] And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: [2] and she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. [3] And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. [4] And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. [5] And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. [6] And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. [7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [8] and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. [10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. [12] Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. [13] And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. [14] And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. [15] And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. [16] And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Consider all that you know... Everything that you have heard and seen, all that you have learned. Where does your knowledge come from? What are your experiences, and what are the conclusions of your own mind? How do you feel about things? What stirs your heart and intentions, or, are you just on autopilot? If that then, who is the pilot; and now, more than ever before, honesty is needed, because you are looking at you. It is not about what others say about you, whether the report is good or bad; what do you look like, staring into your soul? Who built up what you see? Is it good or evil? Have you been lying to yourself? Who made you think about yourself as you do? Is it of GOD? Is it by the Word of GOD? Or, is it by mankind, even of comparing yourself with somebody else? Who might that be? Truth, because we must come in Truth to God, as we are. What is the deep seeded truth of you?

Whatever you have just found there, in your deepest and most private self; that is the person, the soul, that Christ died for. That you may live, because your sin is forgiven. The Son of GOD, our Lord Jesus Christ, gave up His heavenly abode, to make a sacrifice for you that your sin will not be accounted to you, and he paid the price for all that you have sinned. It is forgiven, it is done, it is no more. Cast into the sea of forgetfulness.

Now, as you go out again into this world; know that He has done the same for all you meet each day. For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so that all that believe in Him, place all their hopes and trust on Him, shall not perish but have life everlasting in the presence of GOD Almighty, The Creator of the Heavens and all that is there-in, the Earth and all that is there-in, the seas and all that is there-in. That is what was done for you and all of mankind. Do you believe? What is true for you here-in, is true for all. The Name of Jesus Christ, is the only Name that has been given by the Word of GOD, by which you may receive this forgiveness, and receive the Crown of Life.

As you may be able to tell by now, the focus is not on the dragon you have just read of. GOD'S focus is on you, what He has done, in the Spirit and by His Son, He has done for those who would believe on Him. Now all that is against God, all that moves by any power that is against GOD and against God's will, is of Satan. Everything that can corrupt you, everything that is destructive and makes anything other than what it is as GOD has made it, is of the enemy of GOD. Yes! That includes when your own heart is against it your words and thoughts. If you stand not in the love of GOD, then you are against it. If only you can admit your sin then you are a self proclaimed sinner by your admission. Christ died for sinners. Those that think themselves innocent and perfect, they have no need for a Savior. Do you see it yet?

I am not proficient enough to break down this chapter and symbology in it. I have my own ideas, and I have heard what others have said. I will place a link on Blogspot, to a teaching on this which I have found valuable in consideration. But all that we hear and all that we see must be considered in the Spirit before the Living GOD that sits upon the Throne, as you have read here in the book of Revelation.

This, I have come to know; that GOD is for us, and His enemy, he is against us. Every confusion, and every lie, flows from the enemy of GOD. Yes, the very spirit of anti-Christ; which surely you can see at work in this world we are in. Yes it is this dragon that you have read of here, John states it clear enough. The woman that born Christ, here in this chapter, is indeed the nation of Israel from which Jesus came. Where then is the church?

Now, of course, those that believe that Christ will come to collect His Bride before the Wrath of GOD is poured out on the Earth; they are confident that they are with Christ at this time. As we are in Christ, even now; for He said that He will never leave nor forsake us, and we know this by the Spirit too, that our souls are saved in Christ and the flesh must go the route of dust to dust. Have you not read that the enemy may not harm those who are sealed by GOD? Why are you still looking at the flesh? Have you not read that GOD is Spirit? But, do not be mistaken, the enemy of GOD, yes, even that enemy that hates us, the Children of GOD, is very real and intent to lure us away from our Salvation in Christ.

Now, of all that have come against you, especially this promise of GOD that we will have eternal life in Christ, that is of this dragon you have just read of. His efforts are like a flood of water, sent to destroy us, to trick us to believe in any other form of salvation, anything other than Christ, so we may stand contrary to the Will of the Most High GOD. That includes false doctrines, false religion, false history and anything false that stands contrary to the Word of GOD.

Yet is there a play out in this world of this struggle that started in heaven, when Satan stood up in pride wanting to exalt himself to be equal to GOD. For this, he was cast out of Heaven, and made war on GOD and all that GOD loves. So, he will attempt to lure you away by any means that will get the job done for him, including making use of those you love, that are not sealed by GOD. He will come at you in your weakness, that which you struggle with. He will offer you things that your heart in error lusts after. Be that cake, a house or car; money or anything that gives you a false sense of self empowerment that will lead to you denying GOD and the Son of GOD. His greatest success is in convincing the world that He does not exist, but when he reveals himself to the world, he will reveal himself by a lie, that he is God. That is just the nature of the beast. He is a liar and a murderer from the start. Friends, you are at risk as long as you ignore his lies working in you. For it is when you believe in the deceit that he has sown into the field of GOD, that produces things without any spiritual fruit that is good. If we believe the lie, we start walking towards death, and if we remain unrepentant, we do not turn back to the Savior of mankind, but walk on unto damnation, because of denying the Word of GOD, Jesus Christ. Satan will try to convince you that you will be okay without faith in Christ, even that there is nothing to repent of, because you did "no wrong." The flood my friends, according to me and for the benefit of this teaching, is lies. It is a flood of lies and deceit, in currents of rebellion against GOD does it come. If believed, you will be swept away.

Now, I know that is not the prophetic layout of this chapter, and I will give the link to a prophetic teaching on this for your benefit on the blog. It is important though to have a quick and persistent check within ourselves, to see if there is any ground in us that Satan may have won, and then to repent of it.

Though a little unconventional maybe, I hope that today will lead you to look at Christ in Hope again today. That we, as mankind, are desperately in need of the Salvation in Jesus Christ. It is thus a free gift and by mercy and grace, that Christ died upon that cross for sinners.
