Revelation 1:1-9 KJV
[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: [2] who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. [3] Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. [4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; [5] and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [6] and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. [7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. [8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. [9] I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
John 16:31-33 KJV
[31] Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? [32] Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. [33] These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Romans 5:3-5 KJV
[3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; [4] and patience, experience; and experience, hope: [5] and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Acts 14:21-22 KJV
[21] And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, [22] confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 3:4 KJV
[4] For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

2 Thessalonians 1:3-10 KJV
[3] We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; [4] so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: [5] which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: [6] seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; [7] and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: [9] who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; [10] when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

1 Peter 1:3-9 KJV
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, [5] who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. [6] Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: [7] that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: [8] whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: [9] receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Note for 2024/08/24
Friends, today I add some verses for you to see this matter of tribulations that we were bound to see, just as Christ said Himself that in the world we should have tribulation, but in Him, who has overcome the world, we might have peace. Christ also said that this world would hate us, because it hated Him first. And now we have also read yesterday in Romans 5:3-5, what tribulations work for in us, that we might have faith in Christ. For those of you that read on the blog at houseofbread4u.blogspot.com, I will give more texts, but for those following here in the YouVersion Bible App, sadly you will have to check the highlights that I have made today.
Friends, the trials and tribulations that we go through here is almost like a qualification of some sort. Was Christ Himself not tried too in the wilderness by Satan? Have we not read in the writings of John, that we should try every spirit, if it be of GOD? Should we ourselves then not be tried too?
This life we live here on earth, in the physical and in the flesh, is it not so we can exercise our choice? What is it then that we choose? Are we prepared to suffer for the sake of Christ, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in the Name of our Lord and Savior? Yes! That means that we walk contrary to darkness, evil and wickedness; that we walk away from sin, iniquity and transgression against GOD and our neighbors. Yes, that means we love where this world hates, and hate the evil in this world, but love God and our neighbors, even our enemies, in the understanding that we struggle not against flesh and blood. When those still in the world walk in the desires of the flesh, we refrain, we resist those temptations, to overcome this world in Christ Jesus our Lord so we may be where He is. Oh, how my words often fail me. But, as we read on in Revelations, especially through the letters to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3, you will see the importance of overcoming these things.
Now, permit me to give you some hope and comfort. We have lived lives in tribulations and trials, some even all the way to the ending of their lives here on earth, but we have the hope of salvation at the end in Christ. Our lives have been for the testimony of Christ Jesus, our Savior as we believe in Him, and also in our Father in Heaven, the Creator of us all. In our faith we are called the children of GOD, and at the time appointed, we shall be honored and standing in the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord. The children of GOD are not appointed to the Wrath of GOD, but His enemies and ours are. Vengeance belongs to our GOD. But, as you have come to know our Lord, you know that He will afford each and every creature every opportunity to repent and walk away from their iniquities. So, be patient for the sake of Grace and Mercy, be kind to all you can, live in peace as far as it is possible. Yes, even turning the other cheek. For us, and all that believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of GOD that made atonement for the sin of mankind, there is an end of suffering insight for us. But, for those that willfully choose to align themselves working with devils and standing in the service of the prince of darkness in this world, for them there is the lake of fire waiting.
Christ said, fear not when you see these things, but look up, for your redemption draws near. (Matthew 24) Just as we have gone through our trials and tribulations, and may have to face a bit more, there is an end in sight for us. We have been tested by a trial of fire of some sort. We have called judgment forward, and admitted our guilt before the Lord, that we are sinners. And by His blood, we are saved, forgiven of sin and transgression. Now we should not walk after the same ways anymore, but after the righteousness in Christ. Walking in the Spirit, as we know that no flesh can enter the Kingdom of GOD, that the dust of the earth must return to the earth, as the breath of GOD that made man a living soul, returns to the Spirit of GOD. Not all of us will die, some will be changed in the blink of an eye, at His return. When we are called to join our Lord Jesus Christ in the air, together with all the saints.
That is what we will read in the Book of Revelation. The end of wickedness on earth and in the heavens. Now for the wicked, it is terrifying, but for the saved, it is the promise of our Salvation. The wicked face the end of their own choices, passing up on every occasion to repent, and for that the world will be judged by GOD. We have been through tribulations, and in overcoming, we stand to receive the crown of Glory with Christ. But the wicked, who have lived in prosperity in this world, who lived unrepentant, for them there is a promise too, of judgment and destruction.
Come with me as we read through the text of Revelation. Come see for yourself how we are set apart even in the face of danger. Remember, He that comes to judge the World, is our Messiah, our Savior and our Lord. In our faith, it is counted unto us as righteousness in Christ.
We will look into the week of Jacob's trouble as we get to it in the text. Be blessed my friend and be of good cheer for our Redemption draws near.
Shalom

Matthew 5:10 KJV
[10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven.

Let us expand it for clarity…
Matthew 5:3-20 KJV
[3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. [4] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. [5] Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. [6] Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. [7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8] Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. [10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. [11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. [13] Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. [14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
