1 John 3:1-24 KJV
[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. [2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. [3] And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. [4] Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. [5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. [6] Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. [7] Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. [8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. [9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [10] In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. [11] For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. [12] Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. [13] Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. [14] We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. [15] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. [16] Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. [17] But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? [18] My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. [19] And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. [20] For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. [21] Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. [22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. [23] And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. [24] And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Note for 2024/08/18
Consider what you have just read. Do not go into all the different translations of the Word to see if one of them permits more, just hear the words that were written by John.
Who are you under pressure? Who do you become, when things do not go your way? How long shall we permit error in our way, making excuses or justifying our choices that in some way our neighbor deserves what is coming to him? Is that in the love of Christ?
By their fruit shall you know them, by their words and deeds shall you see. But... Can you see and hear your own? Charity starts at home, they say. Can you admit your own error, repent and not walk in the same way again? Can you forgive yourself for what you have done, can you believe that Christ has died for you too?
This world teaches the way of Cain. Survival of the fittest, requires you to outwit and outsmart your neighbor to win the worldly reward. Yes, this world romanticizes the concept of being served rather than to be of service, instead of being the servants that the Lord calls for in humility and meekness. We are constantly confronted by choices between the broad and narrow way.
Friends, there is a difference between failing in your attempt to do what is right and loving the ways of this world. The latter is unrepentant, for the goal is to gain in this world at any cost and without clarity the soul is soon offered up in exchange for worldly goods.
This world is against you, do not be fooled. Everything that is presented to us is somehow romanticized and honored by the idols of this world. Giving an appearance of godliness only, but making divisions between people, in who is worthy and who is not, by the standards of this world. By the law of man are we ruled by wicked forces, that sets conditions in which you may sin.
But the law of GOD is clear, thou shalt not kill. What is hate, but murder and how many excuses and justifications are needed to validate breaking the law of GOD?
Read here in this chapter: When will our perfection come? When will we become like Christ, and what will we be called? To receive that reward, we must be on the way to that reward which is the narrow way that Christ spoke of.
Why still yearn to fit into a world of iniquity? Instead, I want to walk in the way of Christ, I hate my failures. So, each day I try again-and-again to do what is right according to the Word of GOD. Not for my salvation but for the sake of righteousness, for my Salvation is of Christ, a free gift from my faith in the Son of GOD. I am saved by Mercy and Grace, in the Love of GOD. Our walk in righteousness is to Honor Him that saved us, when we were yet sinners.
This world will play with words, craft speeches and spells to entice you to a corrupted version of the message of Salvation. But in truth, the Way of Christ, we are guided from within by the Holy Spirit of GOD that was poured out in us. To love what GOD loves. To have compassion for those that are stuck in their trouble. No harm can come to me that is not permitted, and if then permitted by the Most High GOD, then purposed. You cannot pass over an ocean thinking that you will not encounter the waves that are of the nature of it.
"Be still and know that I am GOD." Trust in the LORD your GOD, the Creator of life itself. Hear His guidance, accept His correction. For GOD is Love.
Shalom
