Note for 2024/08/04 - Hebrews 10:1-39 KJV - Follow Christ
Hebrews 10:1-39 KJV
[1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. [2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. [3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. [4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. [5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body hast thou prepared me: [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (In the volume of the book it is written of me,) To do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. [11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: [12] but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. [14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. [15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, And in their minds will I write them; [17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. [18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. [19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] and having an high priest over the house of God; [22] let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. [26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. [28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: [29] of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? [30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. [32] But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; [33] partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. [34] For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. [35] Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. [36] For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. [37] For yet a little while, And he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. [38] Now the just shall live by faith: But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. [39] But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Note for 2024/08/04
In reading this, I was reminded of "the falling away" that Christ spoke of. It is a very serious chapter, considering that one can receive the gift of Salvation and the forgiveness of sin, and then walk out after sin again. The question then is if the gift was taken up at all in the first place.
The question which is wise to ask oneself, is what I find pleasure in? Is my mind washed by the Word of GOD? Does my heart yearn after the Will of GOD? Does my body stand in service of the Living GOD? What's more is that we should love the Lord our God with all of our mind, all of our heart and all of our strength. How do I then measure up? Do I love my neighbour as myself? To keep the watch, is to keep these true in me. For that there is then a contention in the flesh, to subdue it to the Word of GOD. If my soul is cleansed and sanctified, then I should walk after the manner of the new man, not continue after the lusts of the flesh and in contention with those GOD loves. Indeed, then, I will do unto others in righteousness as I would have them do unto me. This thinking, which should be an inner working of my approach to all whom God has given me recorded here, as if in thinking, for you who reads here's benefit. Also, to reaffirm the solid foundation established in me in Christ Jesus, by the working of the Holy Spirit of GOD, in me. That I give no room for the working of satans and devils in me, resisting, so he shall flee. The old man that once reigned in me, sent to the grave with Christ, of which the baptism is the signaling of; and the new man that rise up from the water, which is the Word of GOD that quenches the thirst for life, adopted wholeheartedly and placed in service of The Kingdom of GOD. That also means, that I do not stand in agreement with the urges of the old man, no, I contend with it and hate the works of the fallen man. Instead I am duly focused on permitting that which is good to rise up, by the working of the Spirit of Christ working within me. We cannot serve both GOD and Mammon, did Christ not say that too? You cannot have two masters, for you will love one and hate the other. So when I love, I love what is of GOD, and when I hate, I hate that which stands contrary to the Holy Word of GOD; and in resisting evil, the devil must flee from me, by the ordinances of GOD. Then, it is not I that rebuke the devil, but the Word of GOD.
So, it is a fairly common saying, that Christ Jesus is the Savior, but is Christ your Rabbi, your Teacher? If then the Teacher, what is taught in the Word of GOD, for when He came to His disciples, He said, "follow me." What is it, then, to follow? For at that time, he also said to one who requested to go and lay his father to rest that passed on, "Let the dead bury the dead." They that were fishermen, to them He said, "I will make you fishers of men." So the question stands, what change came to us in response to the Calling that we heard? Christ also said that many are called but just a few are chosen. He spoke of the reborn man, and of The Kingdom of GOD by parables.
The final line of questions is then this: What change has come into effect? And in our labour, do we labour for God's Kingdom, or establish our own? What does it mean to you, to be Saved by Christ? And in what you believe, is it foundational in the Teachings of Christ? For we have just One Teacher, Just One Savior, for He is The Only Begotten Son of GOD, there is no other. Do we stand in His Teachings, or in the teachings of man by interpretation; himself taught of human understanding in some college or university that also teaches all kinds of contrary things? Are we to follow Christ or this world, for no man can serve two masters wholly.
Friends, this is steak. If we are then to meditate, should we not meditate on the Word of GOD? Wisdom, it is written, starts with the fear of GOD. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living GOD. Now I have not attended any of these colleges or universities in the subject of the Word of GOD. No! I was taught in the inner room, as much as I share here with you from that place of sanctuary. Of all that you have read today, how can you still hold on to the false doctrine of men? For GOD is One, even the Holy One of Israel, how then can we stand in divisions? There are many false christs among us, a strange sort of man that has come in among us; as wolves in sheep's clothing, they tax the widow, abandon the orphan and plague the righteous. They line their pockets with gold and silver and request more from the poor who have none left more to give. Like Christ, they say, follow me. I tell you, follow no man, but follow Christ. Read the Word of GOD yourself, and make your request known to God in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Now, we still know in part, but The Lord will complete the good work He started in you. The Lord is the Author and the Finisher of your Faith. On Him you can depend, and sing songs of praise and worship in the likeness of King David. But, the inner man must be pointed securely on Christ alone. We love one another, from the love of GOD that we received by the Mercy shown in Christ.
Still, even at this late hour of the existence of mankind, you have your own choice to make. Who then will you serve this day?
Shalom.

On Prayer
Mark 14:32-42 KJV
[32] And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. [33] And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; [34] and saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. [35] And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. [36] And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. [37] And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? [38] Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. [39] And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. [40] And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him. [41] And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. [42] Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Don't lose focus - prepare yourselves for war and what war brings. Don't be caught off guard. This will look like evil will be victorious for 3.5 years.
God is bringing everything to a close. Darkness must be exposed, by allowing it to accomplish certain things.
