Note for 2024/07/26 - 1 Peter 5:1-14 KJV - It's not a game

1 Peter 5:1-14 KJV

[1] The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: [2] feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; [3] neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. [4] And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. [5] Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. [6] Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: [7] casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [9] whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. [10] But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. [11] To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. [12] By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. [13] The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son. [14] Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Note for 2024/07/26

You know, the Bible speaks a lot about the enemy. It also speaks about the debt of sin and wickedness, and the end of it. And yet, there are many that believe there are no consequences to how we live. The consequence starts here and will carry over to what comes next, when this body we now dwell in, expires. Okay, I know, I am suppose to bring you Good News. The Good News is that you do not have to go to hell for the sin you are guilty of. You don't have to be cast into the burning lake of fire, because Christ paid the ransom for you, so you may live for eternity. Not here in the flesh, but with Christ in a glorified form; if only you will repent and believe in Him.

If you believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, you will also believe in what He said, how to live your life. It is the Lord Jesus Christ that said that hate is equal to murder, as followers of Christ, we are just repeating what He said. It is Christ that said that no flesh can enter into the Kingdom of GOD, that we should build up our treasure in Heaven rather than here, where rust and the moth consumes. That there will be a day when the sheep and the goats will be separated. It is Christ that told us of the Kingdom of GOD and who may enter into it, and what will disqualify us. We were warned about Satan and his workers and the price of wickedness, by Christ Himself. How then must I hear, that those who claim to follow Christ, reject what He said? Then, you are not standing in a pure doctrine, for if we are saved by Christ, what are we then saved from? If there was no penalty for sin, why would we need a Savior? What's more, I now hear reports of pastors in the Church saying that Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is not the Son of GOD. Oh! Friends, do not hear them, they are preaching with a serpent's tongue. They are sold out to another master.

When Peter speaks here to the elders, it is to keep the sound Gospel of Jesus Christ alive in the Church. See verse 2 and 3 again, when Peter instructs the elders to feed the flock, just as Christ instructed him. And what is it that must be fed to the flock? Yes, the Word of GOD, that is our daily Bread, that establishes our faith by which we live. Don't listen to the gain-sayers, those that seek to profit from you, those who take from the poor to make the rich richer. Be careful of the desires of your heart, that it is not lifted off from GOD, and yearn after an idol of some kind. It is Christ that said, you cannot serve two masters, you can not serve both GOD and Mammon. What the heart is full of will flow out from the lips, who owns your heart, him will you serve. And who is the overseer of your heart? My friends, what is “choice” then? Even not making a choice is making a choice not to do anything. This world presents you with two choices, this political party or that one, but the truth is that we only have to choose Christ. They will say, "this is not about your religion," but your faith determines everything. You cannot be a Christian on Sunday morning, and live the life of an athiest for the rest of the week. You cannot follow two masters, it is Christ or everything else the world lures you into. It is Christ that brings us liberty for our soul, if then bound, be bound to Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, and all that He said. You cannot mingle the Gospel with lies, then you no longer have a pure Gospel. So don't believe anyone that says the Bible is outdated, that what it says, no longer applies to our modern world. It is a lie, straight from the prince that is reigning in the world now until Christ returns. The world systems are his systems. The constraints are of his laws, that he has enforced by severe policing. In all, search for your guidance in the Word of GOD, praying to our Father in Heaven in the Name of Jesus Christ. Yes, some will land up in prison, just like the disciples and the members of the early church. Don't be surprised if you hear of brothers and sisters being locked up for hate speech, when they disagree with what this world promotes.

The Lord instructed us not to show favor for person; and yet, is that not what this world promotes right now? Are some more worthy than others, according to them? Did Christ not die for all of mankind upon the cross? Is salvation then not available to all that believe in Him? Was our errors not purged from us by the guidance of GOD'S Word and the Holy Spirit? Then Trust GOD to do the same in others, but don't accept wickedness in you or in your house. Yes, some will have to pay with the price of their flesh to save their soul. "And they lived not their lives unto death." Yes, they overcame by the Blood of the Lamb and the Testimony of their mouth. Were you warm or were you cold, but now that you have become lukewarm, you will be spat out of the mouth. This life is not a game, it is for real and your soul is up for grabs. You only get one life; so, choose wisely.

I cannot save you, but I can point you to Him who saved me. It is the Lord Jesus Christ, by no other Name can you be saved. The Salvation promised is of your soul, that you may be with Him, even when all this you now see is done and over, when it fades from existing. Choose then, life or death, goat or sheep, wheat or weed.

Shalom.

YouVersion Bible verse of the Day

1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV

[13] Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.16.13.KJV

“...we find that Paul's closing words to the Corinthians, are designed to encourage Christians to watch, to be on the alert, to stand firm in the faith.. to act like men and to be strong. Paul is urging the believers at Corinth to be of one mind and to make sure that all that they say and all they do is done in love.

Every Christian should know the importance of watching and being alert, for we have many enemies that seek our downfall. We are surrounded with many false apostles, false prophets, false teachers, deceitful workers and doctrines of demons. All such things, started to infiltrate the church in the time of Paul and seem and have exploded into multiple fragments of falsity, within today's apostate churches and heretical cults.”

On Prayer:

Luke 18:9-14 KJV

[9] And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: [10] Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. [11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. [12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. [13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. [14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
