Note for 2024/07/17 - 1 Timothy 4:1-16 KJV - The Watch

1 Timothy 4:1-16 KJV
[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. [6] If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. [7] But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. [8] For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. [9] This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. [10] For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. [11] These things command and teach. [12] Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. [13] Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. [14] Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. [15] Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. [16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Note for 2024/07/17
I can almost hear how someone today may throw a comment on the chapter like, "No pressure!" In fact, the last section of this chapter was part of a prophecy spoken out over me when I was younger. And of course, at the time, it seemed strange and the words were too convenient for my age at the time, so I did not take it seriously. Today, even I can see it; and, not for my boasting, but to the Glory of the Lord, Who is the Author and the Finisher of my faith.
For such a long time, the latter part of this chapter carried a special meaning for me, reminding me constantly that how I live is part of my testimony. But, the first part must not be neglected. How apt it has become for the time we are living in right now.
It speaks of a falling away. Those that once stood in the faith securely, lending their ears out to new concepts and wild ideas regarding the Lord our GOD. Especially when you hear all that is being said by the likes of those that hold on to the concept of "Ancient Aliens." Let's just say, I can see a Great Deception forming in the narrative today. This topic, though, is too wide and requires too much to be said for just one sitting. And yet, the Spirit in us quickly presents the Truth regarding these "so called" alien visitors. There is a spirit in the world that is pushing the doctrine of God's enemies, presenting the theories of fallen angels as subjects of entertainment. It is a "Hot Topic" in discussion of unexplained aerial phenomenon. What's next? Shall they blaspheme against the most High GOD and Jesus Christ His Son?
I have also seen a move in the doctrines of men, to bring believers back into chains regarding the Law. Especially regarding what to eat, and now, claims are being made that GOD somehow made a mistake to put cows on the earth, that they are somehow responsible for greenhouse gasses that is bringing about the changes, causing global warming. And all of what we see play out in the world, foretold in the Word of GOD. Not only what would happen, but also the mindset of the people. These seemingly progressive people making claims that somehow GOD made mistakes in creation and in pride claiming that man can make a change for the better, without GOD. My ears grow tired of hearing all their words of blasphemy. Even my country has now publicly declared its intentions to achieve carbon net-zero by 2050.
What did Paul write here to Timothy? What should our focus be on? Should we give ear to fables and old wives tales? Read prophecy in the Bible, then you will be up to date with what will come. Then you will see through the lies the enemy is promoting to the world at this time. Regardless of what man does outside repenting, judgment is coming from the Living GOD, and in the stubbornness of mankind, they will not repent. Is that not what the Book of Revelations foretold? Did man forget Who created everything? That it is GOD that set all things in motion at the start? Who sets free the horsemen of the Apocalypse, is it not Christ, breaking the seals?
Instead of building bunkers, instead of forming wild speculative ideas on how to overcome the changes on this planet; why don't we rather take charge of our own person? Why do we not rather walk unto righteousness and accept the gift of GOD'S Salvation that came as a free gift to us from GOD in Jesus Christ our Savior? But, man rejects the gift and comes in rebellion against The Creator. Pushing back on GOD, and all that He has ordained.
I remain hopeful in Christ Jesus, the Son of GOD and our Savior, that all who believe in Him will not perish, but receive life eternal. But as for the foolishness of mankind, in that, there is no hope. GOD will keep those that belong to Him, while the wicked will burn in a fervent heat. The stage of judgment, now almost fully set. "And the repented not..." I am not surprised, because the Word of GOD prepared me for it. Even when the heavens shake, and the earth stumbles like a drunkard, when that which brings man's hearts to fail for what is coming upon the earth, still will I trust in the Word of GOD that said it first. For I know that no flesh can enter the Kingdom of GOD, that the believers in Christ will be transformed and called up to join Christ and all His saints in the air. What am I better than those that came before me? If my body is destined to go from dust to dust, still my soul will carry on to GOD. Death has lost its grip on the believer, for even in the laying down of the temporary, the immortal soul will carry on to GOD.
Though crucial to make a choice, this life we live here is just temporary. The believers in Christ are awaiting that which is eternal, getting on to live here, as guided by the Word of GOD. Believing, though we have not seen what the disciples saw, we live by a blessing spoken out by Jesus Christ Himself. So... My brothers and sisters in Christ remain strong. Hold out for the promises of GOD. Live, like Timothy is instructed here, by Paul.
Shalom

In Proving all Things
This morning the following two chapters were given through by a Brother in Christ for today. Then in keeping with the discussion of Mike above, in addition try and read the Chapters he referenced too. You will see that the Spirit speaks in One voice among those that trust in The Lord
Isaiah 26:1-21 KJV
[1] In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. [2] Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. [3] Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. [4] Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: [5] for he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. [6] The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. [7] The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. [8] Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. [9] With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. [10] Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. [11] LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them. [12] LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. [13] O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. [14] They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish. [15] Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth. [16] LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them. [17] Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD. [18] We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. [19] Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. [20] Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. [21] For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 27:1-13 KJV
[1] In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. [2] In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. [3] I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day. [4] Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together. [5] Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me. [6] He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. [7] Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him? [8] In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind. [9] By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. [10] Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. [11] When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour. [12] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel. [13] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
