Note for 2024/07/05 - ‭Ephesians 1:1-23 KJV‬ - Predestinated

‭Ephesians 1:1-23 KJV‬

[1] Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: [2] grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.  [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: [4] according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: [5] having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. [7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; [8] wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; [9] having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: [10] that in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: [11] in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: [12] that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. [15] Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, [16] cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; [17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18] the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, [19] and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, [21] far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: [22] and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, [23] which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Note for 2024/07/05

Dear friends, I have to ask; Whose will is it then that we be saved? So many of the questions I hear from time to time, often; answered in just this one chapter. This is like an equation of precision to answer most of man's questions, regarding the Gospel, which is the Will of GOD towards us, in love, mercy and grace.

What is our response to such great love? Or shall I rather ask, what is our attitude, not only towards God, but also towards all that GOD loves? Who is it that divides up all by classifications and all forms of justifications? GOD made man, male and female created He us; but I ask you, how many genders has man then recorded in his aberrations? By Christ, one gospel was given, now count all the denominations. Excuse... Justifications, all to validate man's versions of GOD'S intentions, when it was given quite clear by the Very Word of GOD. Even by the Word of GOD do we learn that a nation goes to waste for a lack of knowledge. Man, would rather learn to fly, than to learn the Will of GOD. We are obsessed with knowledge of things best left alone. This, my friends, is not of whether we should fly at all; but rather, of who we love first. No! Ephesians 1 places things in perspective and the net result should have led to gratitude and repentance. It is not a time period study, but is true for all times.

Why did GOD, our Father in Heaven, commanded His Love in Christ towards us? Yes, to save us; but ultimately for the redemption of us back to Him, Who made us. To undo the works of Satan, even unto the original sin in Eden, just as spoken by GOD Himself in Genesis 3:15.

I remember as a child crying inwardly that nobody loves me, what a great lie that was that I believed for far too long. GOD loves me, He loves all of us; it is the sin in us that He hates, and our love of sin, that separates us from Him. For GOD is Holy. As Moses had to remove his shoes when he came to the burning bush, what must we remove to come unto the Holy Presence of GOD. Even by the Law we couldn't, but Christ Jesus did. And when joined to Him, we are covered by His perfection and righteousness and by the Holy Spirit may we approach the Throne of GOD again. Christ is our Ark of the New Covenant by GOD to us. It is lies that separate us from GOD, even our acceptance of those lies, sown as the seed of Satan in us to cause unbelief and rebellion against God Almighty. The Love of GOD unites us in Christ Jesus, while the hate of Satan divides us. And by the division are we separated from the unity we could have had in Christ, and by Christ the unity with God, by the Holy Spirit poured out in us, in the Name above all Names, which is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Man, then, presented with a choice; good or evil, life or death. Yes, black or white; for all the shades of gray requires some darkness, making us lukewarm then, to be spat from the mouth.

Who stands in ignorance then? What must be ignored? What of the Word of GOD must be rejected to bring such confusion. What was man instructed in Eden? And by a crafty deception of Satan, is it not the Word of GOD that had to be ignored for sin to set in? Fallen! Because of ignorance and rebellion against the Word of GOD. For GOD commanded, and man rejected that Word of GOD. So, I ask again, what must you ignore to live life as you please? The very life that GOD gave you. Is anything good enough for man? Complaint is nothing more than rebellion, not? Excuse, used as the validation and justification of rebellion to step into such ignorance that separates us from the Will of GOD. When we live by “our will be done,” rather than, “the Will of GOD.”

That is the sad story of the human condition. That required divine intervention for the rehabilitation of man, through the Salvation in Jesus Christ that would bring a separation from sin and the ultimate redemption by deliverance, returning man to his first estate. The paradise of GOD, that was promised unto that sinner on the cross besides Christ's.

That is my big picture, what is yours? Test it against the Word of GOD. Salvation by Grace, truly a gift from GOD, for the expense was paid by Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of GOD. The First Fruit of the Resurrection.

Shalom.

YouVersion Verse of the Day (Expanded)

‭2 Timothy 1:6-11 KJV‬

[6] Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. [7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. [8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; [9] who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, [10] but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: [11] whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
