Luke 9:10-27 KJV
[10] And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. [11] And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. [12] And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. [13] But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people. [14] For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company. [15] And they did so, and made them all sit down. [16] Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. [17] And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets. [18] And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? [19] They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again. [20] He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God. [21] And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; [22] saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. [23] And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. [24] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. [25] For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? [26] For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. [27] But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Note for 20250422
I still remember how I was amazed at the increase of Bread and Fish, when I was a child. And as the years went by, how I learned of the significance of how 5000 were fed by 5 loaves of Bread and 2 fishes, how the bread was more than the fish and how it made up 7 items that had 12 baskets of fragments left over. All the fives, and sevens and twelves, and how it relayed into Israel, the Church and the Grace of GOD. These sermons have been preached and they have been heard.
Later still, I learned of He that came from Bethlehem, came to the area of Bethsaida, being in name, The House of Bread coming to the House of Fish. That Christ is more than the bread that was given to feed the 5000, for He fed to His 12 disciples, more than just that which filled their tummies, but fed them from the Bread of Life, that sustains the soul of mankind.
Note then later when Jesus asked His disciples, who does the people say I am, and who do you say I am, that the answer differs, and may it be because of what was eaten both in bread and in Word. The Bread of Life came from the House of Bread from the line of David. All this is still mostly knowledge based, what then of this requirement?
Luke 9:22 KJV
[22] saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

Is this not what we have just celebrated in memorial of what Christ has done for us? You see, from the increase of Bread and fish at Bethsaida, only some 5000 ate, but how many have eaten the passover since, because of what is said here in verse 22? Why was there a need that Christ had to die on the cross, after being rejected by the elite of Judea? Would you believe me if I say to you that it would require a book to share just the significance of that alone? But maybe, with the Help of the Comforter, I can share just enough to give you some hope.
Remember how many times we have looked at and have heard that Christ fulfilled the LAW? And yes, it is very significant. You see, with Israel going off whoring after idols and false gods, Christ (who is One with GOD) had to die to leave Israel as a widow. That she be free to take another legally. So the Word of GOD was nailed to the cross and died, to release Israel of the first covenant with GOD, so they may be Wed to the Risen Son of GOD as part of the second covenant. But, in this, they were also free to take another if they so chose. You see, the first covenant was made with all of Israel, the second by personal choice, one-by-one. So GOD became a personal GOD, to all who would Choose Him, even of the Gentile Nations. What was scattered then, Christ brought together as one, just as he had these here at Bethsaida sit down in groups of 50, in company. By congregation, to eat the bread together, just as the churches would gather to receive the bread of life in Jesus Christ, later. And so, be wed by the Holy Spirit of GOD, not just to GOD alone, but also to one another. A new Kingdom, built up, from those who would have Jesus Christ, and so the Kingdom of GOD would be increased from thence.
Who do you say Jesus Christ is? Do you answer as the people or as His disciples?
Let me show you something from the account of Matthew in this regard, and maybe now it will ring through, if you have not received it before.
Matthew 16:16-19 KJV
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. [18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Now, I did say it would take a book, so, just know that there is much more to this. For, the power and authority of the church of Jesus Christ is shown here in one moment, just before Jesus went up upon the mount of transfiguration at what was known then at least, as the gates of hell, at Mount Hermon (Golan Heights) near Caesarea Philippi, where Pan's Cave is. Just as it is mentioned here in Matthew 16.
Matthew 16:13 KJV
[13] When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

Did you know that the Golan heights is also what was known in the old testament as Bashan? Yes, where Og of Bashan, the giant was from. The more you learn, the more significant that which Christ has done and said becomes.
It is my hope that in just this little bit shared with you today, that it will inspire you to take up a deeper practice of Bible Study. Even, how, what we will look at next tomorrow, the significance is when Christ goes up on this particular mountain for His transfiguration where Moses and Elijah appeared to Him.
At the end of this Passover Weekend, I want you to have assurance in the Authority received of Jesus Christ for all who believes upon His Name, that the gates of hell will not prevail against. That the authority has been given to bind and loose here on earth and it will be so too in heaven, where Christ is at the right hand of GOD.
It must be said today too though, that in the Voice note yesterday I spoke of the significance of this particular Passover, and since then, we have learned that Pope Francis passed away at the Age of 88 and Clause Shwab resigned his post at the World Economic Forum, as it happens, at the age of 88 too.
More will come, for we are now living in the end times; the times for the fulfillment of outstanding prophecies in the preparation of the age to come, where Christ will reign on earth for a thousand years in peace. But first, the conclusion of this age must come by the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Selah, Shalom

Verse of The Day
From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 25)
Romans 3:21-28 KJV
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: [23] for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [24] being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [26] to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. [27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. [28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
