Note for 20250217 - The Gospel of Jesus Christ - Part 73 - Luke 2 - The Stone that was Rejected
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
According to Luke
Notice
This was the day when the regular daily writing, of this series, was brought to a pause by the Lord. Today you will hear what brought the pause, for what turned out to be 35 days. Only a handful of people actually enquired about the word of the day, and of course, for them, they did still receive a daily message, which the Lord, by His grace later permitted me to share out broader.

Luke 2:1-24 KJV
[1] And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. [2] (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) [3] And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. [4] And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) [5] to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. [6] And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. [7] And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. [8] And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. [9] And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. [10] And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. [11] For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. [12] And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. [13] And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, [14] Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men. [15] And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. [16] And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. [17] And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. [18] And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. [19] But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. [20] And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. [21] And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. [22] And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; [23] (as it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) [24] and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

Note for 20250217
This morning, as I sit here, I have nothing to write. I know the account of the birth of Jesus Christ during the time of a taxation and that Joseph and Mary had to travel to Bethlehem to be counted, since Joseph was of the line of David. But, at this moment, I have no inspiration of what to write to you. I know that this birth of Jesus Christ fulfills Prophecy regarding the Christ to come. And, I am still amazed at the heavenly host praising God in the sight of the shepherds. Of knowledge there is some, but still no guidance by the Holy Spirit.
Then, I was led by the Spirit to read from my Bible reading plan. I read about Gideon and how he refused to be made a ruler.
Judges 8:23 KJV
[23] And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.
https://bible.com/bible/1/jdg.8.23.KJV
But then, Gideon transgressed against the Lord, by taking the gold from the spoils of his victory that the Lord gave him and made an idol of it.
Next I was led to read the verse of the day, as it came in this day and it is this:
Verse of the day for 20250217
3 John 1:11 KJV
[11] Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
https://bible.com/bible/1/3jn.1.11.KJV
Because of the evil that Gideon did, his 70 sons were slain. The next few judges that arose saved Israel from their enemy, but as soon as the judge died, Israel went after strange gods again.
The Lord led me to read on again, in my reading plan. I read of the judges that arose to bring relief to the disobedient children of Jacob.
I was sorely perplexed, for the Word that I was receiving was one of "enough is enough." And so, the following text was highlighted for me.
Judges 10:13-14 KJV
[13] Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. [14] Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

The Lord called me to Himself, brought me back to quiet time, when usually I would prepare the daily note that will go out to all. I was brought to stop my writing, and to give the verse above if anyone asks me why I have ceased from my writing. Yes I have been called to write on paper with ink again.
So, sadly, this will be my last post here on YouVersion, and not even this on other platforms, until the LORD releases me from my restraint. Selah.
Today, I cannot say Shalom. May the LORD be with those that follow Him in Truth.
Luke 1:20 KJV
[20] And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

PS: This morning, on the 26th of March, this is now the Third day that I am back to this series. But the Message here did not change in the meanwhile, except for now I can continue on, and write again. This is Mercy and Grace, that GOD let it rain on both the wicked and the just.
Selah, Shalom.

YouVersion Bible Verse of today 20250326 (Expanded from verse 12)
Colossians (Col) 3:12-17 CJB
[12] Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. [13] Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive. [14] Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together perfectly; [15] and let the shalom which comes from the Messiah be your heart’s decision-maker, for this is why you were called to be part of a single Body. And be thankful — [16] let the Word of the Messiah, in all its richness, live in you, as you teach and counsel each other in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude to God in your hearts. [17] That is, everything you do or say, do in the name of the Lord Yeshua, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Pray
Nechemyah (Neh) 8:10 CJB
[10] Then he said to them, “Go, eat rich food, drink sweet drinks, and send portions to those who can’t provide for themselves; for today is consecrated to our Lord. Don’t be sad, because the joy of Adonai is your strength.”
https://bible.com/bible/1275/neh.8.10.CJB
Almighty Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ, give us of Your joy in heart, that we may be strong for the duties of the Lord. Let this joy not depart from us, let it remain with us, all the day long, even for ever.
Blessed be the Name of Adonai and His Son, Jesus Christ. So we unite in the HOLY Spirit, to do the will of GOD. Holy, holy, HOLY is the LORD. Amen
