Mark 12:1-12 KJV

[1] And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. [2] And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. [3] And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. [4] And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. [5] And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. [6] Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. [7] But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our's. [8] And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. [9] What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. [10] And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner: [11]  This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvellous in our eyes? [12] And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

Note for 20250127

A parable of Jesus Christ. What is it like, what has mankind done? Here we have a foreshadowing that the elite of Israel would kill their Messiah, of whom Moses and the prophets testified. Here Christ said, that when the lord of the vineyard comes, he will destroy the Husbandmen and give the vineyard to others. It is important to know that it is text like this that led some to believe the doctrine of replacement theology, that the church replaces Israel in the promises of GOD. From the text here, it may indeed be assumed, but then, with knowledge of the prophecies, we know that GOD is not done with Israel. So for one verse, let me give you some other verses, so it may be seen.

Isaiah 11:11-13 KJV

[11] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. [12] And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. [13] The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Now besides this, you also have the entire book of Revelation to contend with, if you were led to believe that GOD is done with Israel. Is the tribulation and the great tribulation, as coined by man, not also known as the week of Jacob's Trouble? Is the Church of Christ stored up for the wrath of GOD; according to the Word of GOD? Is it not written that in those days, those in Judea will have to flee; even by the Words of Christ Jesus, that they should not turn back to collect anything, but run from where they are?

You see, the Lord also said, through much trials and tribulation will we enter into the Kingdom of GOD. Remember also, where Christ said the Kingdom of GOD is, even in us.

However, let us look at the response of those that sought to harm the Son of GOD, that in this scripture, knew that the parable was against them. The elite of the House of Judah, the Pharisees and scribes. Let us look at an account by the Prophet Ezra, so you might understand some of the Words of Christ against these factions among the elite of Judah.

Ezra 9:1-4 KJV (It is best to read all of this account in Ezra)

[1] Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. [2] For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass. [3] And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied. [4] Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.

Aren't these nations listed here among those listed by Moses, that Israel should have destroyed them utterly? Just of Moab, was there not the matter of Baal-Peor? Now, surely you can understand that I cannot repeat the history of Israel for you here in just one sitting. Neither would you be able to sit through it if I did. What then is the Holy Seed? For that, we need to go back into history even further.

Genesis 3:14-15 KJV

[14] And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: [15] And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

On top of this, it will benefit you also to read Genesis 6. But let me give you an extract from it pertaining to the Holy Seed comment in Ezra 9.

Genesis 6:9 KJV

[9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

I know, it is a lot to take in, if this is your first encounter with the consideration that the seed from Eve to Jesus Christ had to be purely from the seed of Adam, which GOD created in the beginning. So Christ could make atonement for mankind, pure in His generations, without mingling of the Holy Seed. It is therefore that you hear Christ speak of them coming from the synagogue of Satan, a den of vipers. Like Cain, they have murder in their hearts, and here we read once more of that nature in them. Look at this parable, see the evidence Christ gave to the point that they themselves recognise that He spoke about them. These are not all of Israel, just those who come from a mingled seed. In the Book of Revelation, in the letters to the churches of the Galatians (that was in what we now know as Turkey;) Jesus narrates to John about those who say they are from Israel, but is not Israel. These are from those that are at enmity with Christ, and the church of Christ. They are from the synagogues that always stirred up trouble for those professing Jesus Christ. And here, in the text, in conclusion of the parable of Christ, they seek to harm our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The seed that came from that old serpent, known to us as Satan. Does Christ not speak of the seat of Satan in those letters we find in the book of Revelation too?

I could burden you further and read Malachi 4 to you, so that you may hear of the righteous and the wicked when the Sun of Righteousness comes. I could repeat again, the testimony as we find it in the book of Jude. I could take you to the book of Numbers, to identify whom those were that GOD sent Israel to destroy in the land of Canaan, even look at the size of the bed of Og, the King of Bashan by measurement, 13 and a half feet in length and 6 feet wide.

When you read of these Husbandmen in this parable of Jesus Christ, you may not know at first, because the same serpent seed has been hiding the truth from mankind, because they are fully intent on taking that which was given to mankind in the earth. They are strange men that have come in amongst us, spots in our feasts of charity as Jude writes to us. Whom Israel were ordered to destroy utterly, they took to themselves as wives and went after strange gods. These will be removed, and from among those scattered in among all nations, the remnant of the Children of Abraham will be returned, by their kind, for their faith in GOD. Those, who like Noah, walk with GOD. Our faith will be accounted to us as righteousness, just as Abraham's faith in God was accounted to him as righteousness. For his trust was in GOD.

I know, this is a great thing to consider. And if you were reading with me through the Bible, on the reading plan "as it happened," then by now much of what is written here would not come as a surprise to you. Now, for the sake of the time we are living in, the Word is brought out plainly. Now, it is not just parables anymore. And for you, who can hear the word of GOD, the truth will not remain hidden any longer. Be it here that you read, or if you hear it by another, the Holy Spirit of GOD will confirm the Word, and the Word, that which comes by the Holy Spirit, the Holy Seed within us, even the Spirit of the Most High GOD.

[12] How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
