[1] And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: [2] for true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. [3] And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. [4] And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. [5] And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. [6] And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. [7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. [8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. [9] And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. [10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. [11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS. [17] And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; [18] that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. [19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Who is this Rider on the white horse? You know, before you may even have heard you knew. He is the One, we offered up our crowns for, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. For Him, we made ourselves ready, for Him we waited to return, to take us where He is. Hosanna, Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD. Hallelujah, Amen!

Isaiah 63:1-6 KJV

[1] Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. [2] Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? [3] I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. [4] For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. [5] And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. [6] And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.

In Isaiah 63, we read about this moment too, and it says that He comes from Edom, with garments dyed in Bozrah, which is, in modern day, in Jordan. Now, though not added here, it is helpful to also read Zephaniah 3. This day we read of here in Revelation 18, it is the promise of the LORD that it will come. I will include Zephaniah 3 on the blog, so it can be read together comfortably.

For now, let us just look at Zephaniah 3:19

"Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame."

This day will surely come, the beast and the false prophet shall be cast in a lake of fire. When we have cried, "Lord help us! When will You avenge us?" know that this is that moment when He does. The Lord is our Protector, our Defender, our Stronghold and our Fortress. He is the Rock of our Salvation and the Rock that will shatter the Statue that King Nebuchadnezzar dreamt of. He comes to judge the world, that oppressed us, and that transgressed against Him. I remind you, (from Matthew 25) what you have done for the least of these His brethren, you have done for Him. Who then were assaulted, oppressed and shamed? Unrepentant, of mankind, there are those that stepped in league with devils and stood against GOD Almighty and His children. In patience, every opportunity was availed to them to repent. GOD pleaded with them to turn from their wicked ways and they refused Him. And now the time has come for Christ to establish His Kingdom here on Earth, and rule the nations with a rod of Iron, to bring His enemies under foot. Isaiah 63, gives us a graphic visual.

Still, in my heart, I have this yearning, if only people will repent. The LORD is merciful and kind and quick to forgive the repenting heart. Who then cannot repent? Who are those that refuse to admit their error? Who will stubbornly walk to death for the sake of their own pride? A free gift of Salvation was offered by our LORD. He gave his life for mankind, so that we may live. That we may have life in abundance, but like the prodigal son, they went out, never returning. Pride brought their fall.

Friends, what we read in Revelation and that which is related in the Word of GOD, by His prophets; it is a sad thing. That man will reject salvation. That man would align himself with brutes and evil things. But, we cannot ignore the joy we feel for our salvation, that we walk towards the day where we will be rewarded. A Crown of Life awaits those who overcome in Christ. Yes it is spoken of the humble and the meek, even of those peacekeepers.

I say again, for the sake of the righteous, the wicked can not be spared. Only if they admit their guilt and identify the sinner in themselves, then they can have part in the forgiveness in Christ. For He died for sinners like me.
