Note for 20240802 - Hebrews 81-13 KJV - What is a Life

Hebrews 8:1-13 KJV

[1] Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; [2] a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. [3] For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. [4] For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: [5] who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. [6] But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. [8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, When I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: [9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; Because they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord. [10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, And write them in their hearts: And I will be to them a God, And they shall be to me a people: [11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, And every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: For all shall know me, From the least to the greatest. [12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [13] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Note for 2024/08/02

You know, almost everything that is born, and everything that is sown, grows up and grows old, then passes on to leave room for what comes next. I say almost everything, because for some their tale is short lived. And of course then we have the exclusions of Enoch, Elijah and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christ, of course, the First Fruit of the Promised Resurrection. For all the generations of mankind, we have known the text, "dust to dust" in effect. The author here, speaks on two covenants, the first came by the Law and the second by The Greater, which is Grace and The Merciful Kindness of our Creator, in Jesus Christ.

The Lord said that no flesh can enter into the Kingdom of GOD, so we still see the dust returning to dust of man, but the soul, that carries on. All these examples have been left for us in The Word of GOD, but only Christ showed us the True Way to The Kingdom of GOD. Of Enoch it is written that He was and then He was no more found, that the LORD loved Him so that He went to be with the LORD and Elijah, was collected by a chariot of fire from heaven, with Elisha standing witness. But Christ, He ascended in the sight of His Disciples, and He promised He will return the same way, in a day and hour we expect Him not. Every example of what is coming, has been shown to us in some way or form by the LORD, recorded in His Word, for man to read and know. But this, His Law, by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, He places within our hearts, so we can know of good and evil and to choose righteousness. GOD knew that we would fail in this, so He gave His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ; to pay the debt of Sin, that we who believe in Him, may live and not perish with corruptible things. So is our Hope in Christ, that we can pass on from that which is temporary, to that which lasts forever. That then a brief summation of History and the path of man, which ends in judgment of the soul of man. The wicked excluded from Salvation for their rejection of The Giver of Life Eternal. So was the first covenant fulfilled by Christ, that the second may come into full effect. Death is the end of the Law, but the Word of GOD extends beyond death, even as the widowed, are permitted to marry another again, but the dead cannot take another again.

Friends, if a man or woman cannot take part in the Kingdom of GOD here in the Spirit of GOD, then they have no part in the Kingdom of GOD to come. This life is where we choose to Trust in God or His enemy. We choose here and now, even everyday, the kingdom we prefer to belong to (to state it simply.) How then will you choose by word and deed, who will you honor with your life that yet remains in you? For that speaks to this covenant on offer from the Most High GOD. We have seen those that choose against it, as we have seen those who choose for it; and yet, we cannot know for certain for another, for we know not the secret conversations of their hearts.

This were we given:

By their fruit shall you know them. Also, to love our neighbour as ourselves, which Christ increased to include love for our enemy at the sermon on the mount. And the greatest of all, to Love the LORD our God with All our heart, mind and soul.

So, today, my question is simple: For whom do you live? For, the Lord also said that those that seek to save their own lives will lose it, and those that lose it for the Sake of His Name, shall gain it. Everything you need to know for eternal Salvation is here in the Word of GOD. Have you then accepted the Word of GOD. And if your answer is yes, have you read it?

Shalom

Jeremiah 17:7-8 KJV

[7] Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. [8] For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

From Proverbs:

Proverbs 28:3-7 KJV

[3] A poor man that oppresseth the poor Is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. [4] They that forsake the law praise the wicked: But such as keep the law contend with them. [5] Evil men understand not judgment: But they that seek the LORD understand all things. [6] Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, Than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. [7] Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: But he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

On Prayer

Intercession

Matthew 6:9-13 KJV

[9] After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. [10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread. [12] And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Exodus 17:8-16 KJV

[8] Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. [9] And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. [10] So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. [11] And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. [12] But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. [13] And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. [14] And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. [15] And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: [16] for he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 KJV

[1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

[14] if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
