Psalms 29
Genesis 8-9
Romans 5
Matthew 7:12

Daily writing:

What is in the nature of things? What can you safely assume until a matter is proved? Yes, that there is good and evil in all human beings, for they are the children of Adam and Eve, who sampled from the tree. If a man tells you something you cannot simply trust that it is good. You must test it, what is in the spirit of it? Yea, just as Ham laid with whom he should not have; and the curse fell to Canaan; so the land of the cursed was given to who was blessed. Just as Ahab was seen in his sin; when he humbled himself and was shown mercy; how much more are those that are seen in the Righteousness of My Son? For it is an act of humility to lay yourself subject to another.

You see; all is already written. The prophet today can only confirm that which is already written; unless he is shown that which have not been written yet. And what shall he write then? When the Word of GOD is established in you, sealed by the Holy Spirit; how can you then speal against what is already written; understood or not? Yea, the latter can only clear up understanding of that what was written before. Did not the same Spirit guide the Words of the prophets that came before you? How then shall you contradict unless the spirit is not the same?

From one womb comes those who are blessed and those that are cursed. Was it not so with Eve? Was it not the truth for Cain and Abel, even Seth? What of the sons of Noah? What of the sons of Isaac? Now the sons of man have increased, in number and in knowledge. Still the womb does not assure who is good and who is evil. The tree that the fruit comes from; yea, the tree shall be known by the fruit, and yet, the womb of a woman brings forth either good or evil. In man there is good and evil, just as with Cain and Abel, Esau and Jacob. Who then speaks with a split tongue?

From Abraham came Israel and from Lot, Ammon and Moab; as surely as Canaan was of Ham, so was Christ of Adam. What is the fruit of life then; what leads to death? Of one can come two and of two can come enmity. Yes, the wheat was planted first; and then the enemy seeded the weeds in. And of all that you have learned, shall harvest time then not come? If there is good in you, then you will bear the fruit thereof. Yes, you will prevail and feed many, with the fruit of your heart. The wicked consumes the wicked, wickedly; and the good consumes good in righteousness; and so is the fruit of the womb encouraged to bear what is good again.

Of good and evil, evil will seek to convince the good that there is no enmity, to get the upper hand and strike from behind the city gate. Yes. it is an infiltration to make good fail within. What is the fruit that the ear should eat and the eye should consume? What is the fruit that builds understanding and faith? These matters are complex; but in Me, easy to overcome. For I made a way, where there was none; yea, I said it from the beginning; that One will come and crush the head of the seed of the serpent. What then is seed, is the seed not in the fruit?

When you look to a man for understanding, you gain a man's opinion. But, when you look to the Spirit of GOD, you receive the Truth. Why then argue with a man whose understanding fails him? If he could not get it from the Source, shall he accept it of you? No! Lead the man to receive My Spirit so the Truth may be established in him too. Man keeps himself busy with things to great for his understanding, yea, things of folly. But the Spirit of GOD in you, gets to the Truth of life. It directs the soul to the Salvation thereof.

Shalom

Introspection:

You know, sometimes when I think over what I have read; I feel like I have just gotten off a roller coaster ride. Just as I become hopeful in my reading for the sake of man; then it is pointed out again how they fall from good practice and righteousness. How many of you can relate to this, feeling like you want to shout, "Just get it right now!" All these "ups" and "downs" on the track of life. It is easy to sit and think then, what is it all about? What is the purpose of it all?

Now today, I will attempt a dangerous thing. As I work through all the text that I have read this morning, but also to make it fit into what I have come to learn before. Man, soon falls into sin in Eden, expelled and informed of the consequences; the next generation is split in two. Good and evil, just as the tree they ate from. Cain kills Abel and Abel is replaced by Seth for good. Then is there this period where the serpent and his seed wage war on good, even drawing out of heaven, fallen angels, to corrupt the good seed. It all leads up to a disastrous moment for mankind, when only Noah is found pure in his generations. God destroys the earth and all on it except for those He chose to save; of man, just Noah and his family; 8 in all. I do not intend to rewrite the Word of GOD here, because you can read it for yourself; instead, I am venturing through it pointing out the highlights of what I have learned; over and above that which I knew before. I still view the accounts as perfect, both in the blessings and the curses; but today we stand at a verse that is somewhat contentious and hard to make sense of.

Genesis 9:20-23 (KJV) "And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: and he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without."

Genesis 9:20-23 (NMV) " And Noach (Rest, Consolation) began [to be] an farmer, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham (hot, heat, brown), the father of Kena’an (merchant; trader; or that humbles and subdues), saw the nakedness [had relations with his father’s wife] of his father, and told his two brethren without.

Now, there is a case to make for the New Messianic Version text, but scholars have been debating this verse for 2000 years at least. Here is three links relating to this act and the curse that comes in later text.

  1. What does it mean when Ham “saw the nakedness of his father”?
  2. Curse of Ham
  3. A greater comparison of this verse in different versions of the Bible

While the debate about what exactly happened here may continue for many years to come even, what we can safely take from this is that a wicked thing was done that points back to this twin nature of man after having eaten from the tree of good and evil. While uncovering a father's nakedness may seem like a common and acceptable thing today; it was not then; and I state that it might still not be okay today, according to GOD's Word. The matter that lays before us today though, is about the nature of man.

When we look at the account of King Ahab this morning, we see GOD show mercy when he humbles himself before GOD; even though what he has done leaves more than a sour taste in the mouth. And then as we go into the Word of Paul to the Romans, the matter of salvation becomes clearer.

Now if you are not tracking with the reading of the Word, you might feel somewhat neglected. I am sorry, but once again, there is no point to quote the whole Bible here, you must read it for yourself.

From the Word that GOD gave to me today; it is thus not a far stretch to consider the possibility that someone might have ulterior motives when engaging us; especially if we consider the level of opposition to GOD's Word this day. And now I am poked in the ribs by the Holy Spirit... What is normal to us today, is far from the normal standard that GOD established for Israel; and that of the disciples at first and the Apostles that followed. But the world leads in a narrative of "forget the old and embrace the new." Really? Is that what the world does in itself, or shall we point again to Genesis 3:15 and the seed war? They say one thing, but what do they themselves hold too? Is the route of polytheism and paganism not old values too? Yet, to us they will say, do not be so divisive; not everything is contained in Black or White. So I ask, really? Let's just see for a minute...

Now obviously I cannot display the whole world here either, but surely you can see it for yourself. The people in high places; positions and idols of the people are obsessed with ancient symbols. We are talking about the nature of things in the modern world; I am sure I do not have to prove this point much further. Here is what might be more concerning; maybe this one question might set things in perspective. How much of the teachings of even Christ has become an old world view?

The first commandment that man ignored was not to eat from a certain tree; how many rules have GOD brought since to define further what is acceptable in His sight and what is not? Don't we see old taboos, now permitted; neigh, loved and advertised for public adoption? Let me rock the boat a little...

I am just showing you what the world is showing us. Now GOD gave each person free will and choice. Each person can choose for themselves what they want to believe and in what their faith is based in. But, when we speak of the nature of things; think if your great grandma would have to see what is worn out in public today, what would be her reaction? What is the nature of things today and how okay is it really in the sight of GOD, can we even say?

Now it is easy to look at other people and make speeches of condemnation; that is not the point of today. Nope, the point of introspection on the Word of GOD is to discover your own ways before GOD. Yes I see these things, and I do not agree with it, neither is there much left that I can say about it this day. However, in my own life I still have the freedom to measure my daily activities and my foundational beliefs against the Word of GOD, and I do. Though all of us fail and must repent, salvation is only available to those that repent and accept the salvation in Jesus Christ.

Or shall we mirror the sentiment of Ben-Hadad?

1 Kings 20:10 (NIV) "Then Ben-Hadad sent another message to Ahab: “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if enough dust remains in Samaria to give each of my men a handful.”

You see, it is not the gods that are going to judge man, it is the GOD of all Creation, the Almighty Father of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ that is our Full Hope of Redemption unto GOD. How does our lives stack up to GOD's standards? Can we then sin at will because of the salvation that we claim to have, with our lives not bearing any good fruit for GOD's Kingdom?

My friend, repentance is the start of the race of life; before salvation, you were disqualified from finishing with a hope of reward. How serious are you now, about your walk in faith, with Jesus Christ?

John 14:5-7 (NIV) "Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
